 It's really nothing new at all. It's just that it's come to light more recently that a lot of the time when a kid goes missing it's one of the parents or someone very close to the family that killed them, and the news channels are picking up on it a lot quicker so we hear more and more of these stories.

A lot of people are rushing into having children too quickly without understanding what it implies. What a lot of younger couples that think it would be great to have children don't seem to understand is that once you have that child your life is over, and it will never be like it was before again. It's very scary if you are not ready for it and that's what happens to these people they have a kid the life they've lived and loved is all the sudden taken away and they blame there child for it. Of course there are other reasons, but lately it seems that all the parents killing there kids are the ones that just wanted to party all the time, if they just didn't have this darn kid around they could do that, type of people.

EDIT:

Just wanted to say I'm not making up an excuse for people killing there kids, just pointing out why I think they do it.
