My mom suffered through postpartum depression after she had my brother, and I don't think she ever wanted to kill him. Taking care of someone other than yourself is ALWAYS going to be overwhelming. But for thousands of years (hell, maybe even longer than that) people have successfully raised their children without murdering them. If she was so overwhelmed by having a child, maybe she should have shut her legs up or strapped a rubber on the father. |
