Actually the manga was supposed to stop at the end of the Freeza saga I believe and if I remember correctly, Dr. Gero wasn't mentioned in Dragonball. He was an offshoot of the Red Ribbon Army saga and just a plot device to introduce the androids and Cell for the next story arc. |
