 This thread's purpose is to conceive a list of useful, reliable freeware.
I thought it'd be nice to have a list readily available to the members here, so they could have a quick reference rather then having to scour google.

I've started the list off by providing some of the programs(I'll add more as I remember them) I've had personal experience using.
So if you're aware of any freeware(preferably ones that you've used yourself so you can vouch for it), provide a name and url of the homepage or download link at the very least and I'll update the original post.

Instant Messaging/ChatMedia(audio, graphics, animation, video, etc.)Security(spyware protection, firewalls, anti-virus, etc.)Tools(browsers, P2P, you, etc.)

  • Ares - Open source p2p program.

  • Cinergy - script writing software thats used by many top Hollywood writers. It automatically inserts all the script prompts and most formatting and is really easy to use.

  • Fraps - program that can capture video of games, check fps of games, and take screenshots from games

  • Frostwire - P2P program

  • Opera Web Browser
