This is pretty easy. I suggest a video, giving the link to it. The next person FIRST rates the video I suggested and then suggests another video that the next person to post will rate and so on. I'll use a 1-5 rating system. The above video gets a 2/5 from me. +Good video and sound quality. Most of the clips chosen matched the music pretty well. -Not too much editing. The clips where painfully long, which made the pace of the video not match the pace of the music. This is IMO, something that can make an AMV look really bad. Although I don't make them, but it looks pretty obvious, it looks better when they're edited in a way that makes it match the pace of the music. ^9/10. That was impressive. Fast paced, fast transition between clips, and I liked the way the animes were superimposed on each other. And the music was similar to Dragonland, a kickass band. However, a point off because some animes got more screen time than others. HERE'S my reccomendation. Anime: Ninja Scroll Artist: Cradle Of filth Song: Hallowed Be Thy Name (Iron Maiden cover) An old favourite of mine. |

^3.5/5 Pretty cool, the song defiantely went well with the video. Okie dokie then here is my suggestion. Not too action packed I guess, but I really like it. Anime: Well not really an anime, Final Fantasy VII game videos, and some Advent Children stuff as well. Artist: Dragonland Song: Forever Walking Alone HERE it is. I love this song, and Dragonland, I thought the song fits nicely!

^AHA! I've seen that one before! Anyway, 5/10. I thought it was a bit too slow paced for my tastes. Nevertheless, Dragonland kick ass. HERE'S my recomendation. Anime: DBZ Band: Hypocrisy Song: Destroyed Yes, it's DBZ, but this is doubtlessly the best executed DBZ vid I've seen. |

2/5. Sorry, didn't like that one much. While the music matched the mood of the anime, the pace was all off and the clips were reused and far too long. HERE is my reccomendation Anime: Peacemaker Song: Stand My Ground Band: Within Temptation This is probably now my favourite AMV. While Within Temptation are a mediocre band, this song matches the mood of the vid perfectly and the transition between frames is perfect. |

Oh lordy, no wonder I never liked Perfect Circle. How can you take a beautiful song like Imagine and turn it into an armageddon emo ballad, ay such crap. Sorry, I just hate when people do covers and completely kill the original song (See Marilyn Manson Sweet Dreams, Madonna American Pie or Limp Bizkit (or was it Korn?) Faith). As to the video, very well done. good dramatics and effects. I would have liked a little more information behind the clips used. It really doesn't describe the series at all, I know less about Texnolyze now than before I watched the vid. All in all 3/5 My suggestion: Name: Signal to Noise Anime: Jin-roh Music: Signal to Noise by Peter Gabriel This AMV made top Drama and best in show at AnimeExpo last july for very good reason. This thing is chock full of 450 seconds of raw emotion with a disturbingly chilling end. WARNING: this video contains disturbing scenes and extreme violence. Holy crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That video was perfect, the clips used were perfect for the mood of the song at every moment. 5/5 And I can't believe I haven't seen Jin-Roh, by the looks of it, it'll be my next purchase...^^. It really looks like it's my kind of thing. BTW, make no mistakes, I don't like A Perfect Circle, or at least what I've heard of them, which is like...2 songs, and I heard both songs in AMVs. I usually don't recommend AMVs with music I find awful, but there aren't many Texhnolyze AMVs out there. I only found two that were at least somewhat decent. ^4/5 I like. Very atmospheric and the clips blend together perfectly. If there's one complaint, I'd maybe say the song doesn't match the pace of the vid, but otherwise very good. Believe it or not I actually really like Radiohead(!) MY RECCOMENDATION Anime: Neon Genesis Evangelion Artist: Opeth Song: Dirge For November Great anime, f*cking genius band and the moods compliment each other perfectly. The acoustic parts represent Shinji's angst, the heavier moments the horror of the Evangelion's battles. One of my fave AMVs. |

3.5/5 I was skeptical that I'd handle it because I'm not a big fan of the song, but it added a very creepy feeling to the battle scenes, although some clips were too long for my taste, other than that, I liked it. My recommendation: Name: Artistic Suicide Anime: Kareshi Kanojo no Jiyou (a.k.a. Kare Kano) Song: Papercut Artist: Linkin Park Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ib9ohbpdzRk&watch_response I think this video is funny. Watch out for the definition of "artistic suicide". This anime is the last one written and directed by Hideaki Anno (director of Evangelion), and it's become one of my favorite romantic comedy shows. It's both funny and thought provoking...^^ |

^4.5/5 I'll admit it was very well made. The basic premise and concept was funny, the transition between clips was done superbly, the pace was just right and I loved the way the clips related to the lyrics. However, it loses half a mark because that form of anime humour will always, always, for as long as I live, annoy the bejesus out of me. MY RECCOMENDATION Anime: RahXephon Song: Nemo Artist: Nightwish This has, without question, taken the title of my favourite AMV. Superb song, beyond superb anime, and the structure and the way they compliment each other, utterly beautiful. |
