In this anime we follow a 15 year old High School student Named "Kurosaki Ichigo" (Ichigo Kurosaki). ... nah i think i'll take the easy way this time an just quote what i find at ANN. Quote: Age rating: Teenagers (May contain bloody violence, bad language, nudity) Genres: Adventure, Comedy, Drama, Shounen, Supernatural Plot Summary: Kurosaki Ichigo is a 15 year old boy that has an ability to see ghosts/spirits. Because of his ability, he is able to meet a female death god (a.k.a Shinigami) named Kuchiki Rukia. To save his family and friends from unwanted soul-eating spirits (Hollows), Rukia transfers her Shinigami powers to Ichigo. As Rukia takes on a human shell, together they solve mysteries involving spirits and hollows until from the spirit world comes 2 other shinigamis explaining that it is illegal to transfer Shinigami powers to humans and Rukia exceeded the time limit to stay in the human world. After they sentence her death for breaking the laws, Ichigo snaps and swears to everyone he will retrieve Rukia by breaking into the spirit world. Lost the motivation to write it, since i could gain it just as easy this way :rolleyes: . But if anyone got a question about Bleach, or you think i should do more out of it plz tell.

A reply :-) Now to the question: I can't give you a 100% clear answer, since I havn't seen the proof... but rumors say that it's named Bleach as a tribute to the album "Bleach by Nirvana".( one of Kubo Tite's (Bleach's Creator) favorit albums.)) (^Acording to the rumor:This info should had been postet in Shouen Jump Japan) Other possibilities are: The Main Character's hair appear as bleached, though it is in truth his natural hair colour. You could say that the Shinigamis(Deathgods/Deathangels/Soul Reapers) "Bleaches" the souls of the hollows(fallen spirits) so its about cleanig the soul. My own oppinion looking at how Kubo usually write & thinks: It's a mix of those 3.

I have heard about a theori about Bleach is build over Shintoism(sp?) a relligious branch from the far east. The guy posting the theori seemed to know quite a bit about the subject. He even wrote how Hollows and Shinigamis are alot like 2 main mytholgical/spiritual creatures from that branch (I think this branch is mostly baced on Buddism, but with a mix of some others) According to what he wrote, the final state in Shintoism(i think it is this one) is called "Nirvana". What he wrote about the "spirits": "..." seem to be hungry all the time(like hollows) "..." have an extremly strong pride and battle the other(like Shinigamis) I'll gladly answer as many thing I can about this serie. If i havn't readen the answer or can get in contact with one who do then its unlikely its been public. (last 1� year i have generally spend around an hour a day reading about this serie)

You should give a few chapters a read let's say the 5 first chapters after that You should have a well formed opinion on the series though ruffly said the 3 main arcs have been quite differant 1 was the usual shounen with an attitude and a good amount of comedy 2 was plot and figuring out what was going on(less comedy but still some) 3 = Mindless battles and top Violance, little comedy Edited by Shinrin, May 20 2009, 12:33 PM.

The Saiyan of hope Posts: 6,416 Group: Members Member #16 Joined: April 15, 2006	I started watching Bleach myself not too long ago by watching the "New" episodes on CN at 12:30. Then they started to show last week's episode, then the new one, then for some reason, they premiered two new episodes, which is much better than one. Anyway, it's a pretty kick-ass Anime. I even started to read the Manga. It's good as well.
