He actually has a solid serious side to him and I think he could pull off that "looking down on you" glare that Gendo has. As to the Asian actresses I doubt they will have Asian actresses play Misato or Rei. I really hope Emma Watson doesn't play Asuka, she just doesn't have the attitude for it, that and she'd have to changer her english accent to German.

Williams is definetely much more than just a commedian, I mean, watch One Hour Photo or that movie with Matt Damon (I can't believe I forgot its name...>< It's a little old anyways). He's a versatile actor.
