Iowa Hawkeyes do best when they are not under the radar. After the 2001 season (7-5 the experts said Iowa will not return to a bowl game) Iowa finished 11-1 in the regular season and in the top 5 (I believe) got beat by USC in the orange bowl and finished 11-2 and # 8 in the nation. 2003 everyone says that Iowa lost too many good players to have a succesful season, Iowa finishes 10-3 with a 37-17 win over Florida in the Outback bowl.

So I dont know whats going to happen in 2008 for Iowa, but with another week schedule I'll predict a 7-5 or 8-4 season.

The razorbacks are going to be missing a potential of three NFL players from the backfield (I say three because Hillis was also drafted and possibly could make it in addition to jones and mcfadden). They also decided to get rid of Houston Nutt for running the ball too much with a power backfield....umm....ok.

The Hogs could win eight games fairly simply, with the potential to win more in the SEC if they keep the attitude that they can beat anyone in. Going to Texas will prove no easy task, but last time the Hogs were in Austin they reminded Texas to show them a little respect.

Florida comes to town too for the first time in a while. Tebow took (stole >=[) the heisman from McFadden last year, so will his former teammates show up to defend his honor, or will Tebow show us why he won the trophy.

Anyways since my dorm room is 3/10 of a mile away from the stadium and tickets to the student section are $1, season's gonna kick ass for the most part. Florida is about the only game coming to the Hill that should be a challenge (we always play LSU in the Rock so its a bit weird)

Iowa Hawkeyes (2-0) v.s Iowa State Cyclones (2-0)

The Iowa Hawkeyes are 2-0 after destroying easily (as expected) the Maine Black Bears (46-3) and the Florida International Panthers (42-0). The Defensive has issues, which is somthing Iowa has been good at recent years, especially the run defense which has struggled. The offense looks decent with Ricki Stanzi taking over for Jake Christensen who struggled last year. Stanzi, who had his first career start in the 42-0 win over FIU, completed 8/10 passes for 162 yard, 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. Runningback Shonn Greene, whom missed last season for academic troubles, returned with 239 yards in his first two career starts (130 against Maine and 109 against FIU).

As for the rest of the Big Ten, they have really struggled. Michigan who has had Rich Rodriguez come in and flip flop the system had a bitter loss to Utah and a close win to Miami (OH). Wisconsin has started the season the same as the last year, they play lackluster teams and struggle the whole game and suddenly finish the game strong. Penn State looked pretty good, but I'm not to sure about them yet. Ohio State I thought was the best team in the Nation but with watching the scare against Ohio U. I'm not too sure about them either. At first I thought the Buckeyes would beat USC, I would still pick the Bucks, but really even with Beanie Wells it could be close.

I saw them play live when they came up to the hill and ran through Arkansas. Very impressive squad even when Tebow is not having the best game.

...How about them Hawkeyes...and Shonn Greene

Iowa 31 South Carolina 10

From what I saw Iowa should of played Georgia and Michigan State should of played South Carolina, with the way Iowa played I think they would've taken USC that day (call me crazy).
