What you're supposed to do in this thread is create your own rock band with the forum members of your choice playing the instruments of your choice. It doesn't matter how many people are in your band, but try to keep it within this range: Lead Singer (can play an instrument too) Rhythm Guitarist Lead Guitarist Bass Drums/Percussion You can add more intruments and more members to the band assuming you're going to go the Arcade Fire/Broken Social Scene route and have a violinist, pianist, accordianist, etc. Now remember, you're not choosing your band according to whether they play instruments in real life or not. You're choosing according to who you prefer to be in your band and what instrument you think corresponds to their personalities. Oh, and don't forget to choose a name and describe what kind of music you guys play, what bands/artists are your influence, etc. Ok, I'll go first. Personality is somewhere between Frank Black and Dave Mustaine. Plays guitar like Jack Black and Kyle Gas from Tenacious D. Extremely charismatic but rarely jumps around or dances on stage. Jstarbob - Plays like Duane Allman but looks like Rivers Cuomo. Very bizarre and experimental. Somewhat mysterious. Del/Nick Delmont - Plays like Kim Deal but likes to give interesting bass solos rather than constantly be a support player. Very glam and flamboyant but also somewhat awkward. A cross between 80s-era Billy Corgan and present-era Jack White. Mune-Man/Masamune - Exceptional at acoustic and is a pioneer of folk music. Also akin to Jack Black and Kyle Gas, but can also adapt to speed-metal. More like Kirk Hammet than, say, Slash. Oak/Klick/Cap'n Bob Feathers - A multi-instrumentalist from Paris, New Jersey. Extremely popular in the art and culture scenes of Syracuse, Boston, San Francisco, and Baltimore. Trained in classical music as a child, but always wanted to play in a rock band. Despite his parents wishes, he joined The Lovemongering Gasserchrists in 2007 and has toured the planet. Floofy/FluffyJuney - Influenced by the obvious Keith Moon and John Bonham, but her militaristic drumming is more akin to a less cheesy Kenny Aronoff, but mixes it up like Alfredo Hernández. Normally sings in an alto range, but is also one of the only females to be able to reach a baritone range. Your turn guys :beavisandbutthead:
