Masamichi Amano-"Requiem" (Verdi)/ Prologue. But it will only work I think in like a broly or frezia movie, not the first one (sayian saga) as the song shows alot of passion towards anger/fear and then turns to a transformation of redemption towards good with some cheeky twists along the way. Although I now feel as though DBZ shouldn't be made into a LAM as the classic manga is dying out and a movie will not revieve it but only take more away from it. I very much doubt people will come outta the cinema and start watchn DBZ the cartoon if they perviously never did before. On the other hand it gives me a chance to see if after all this time FOX is able to make the cartoon compatable with a live action cast/movie. Although I must say one hundred million US dollars is a bit pricey, think of the percentage of that going on hair products.
The reason I thought it may not be best to adapt into LAM format is because all most all of it will be special effects meaning brilliant acting would be needed throughout. Another reason is because for a fact I know after they stop making the LAM(s) not all the fans will be happy as some will be hoping to see certain saga's or movies on the big screen that may not be included in the live action movie series. Personally I will be content if they show the key sagas/movies which are sayian/freiza, cell, buu, broly and maybe the tree of might and gralic jr.
I think these are the key ones that should be converted into LAM's as DBZ is about the story of Goku and his coming to understanding with his race and history. And all these sagas/movies have shown key elements in explaining Goku and the Sayian race. Anything else would be an added bonus.
But yeah check out the song at the start I heard it in battle royale 2 and thought of broly and the time goku transformed into a super sayian for first time, ah good times. Macho Lovin'...!
PS heard the movie will be starting to be filmed show enough dont know if that true or not but if so they would need only one thing in the first one if it is indeed going to be based on the sayian saga. And that one thing is a semi-brief prologue rounding up the events in Dragonball and showing how Goku can to be on earth. This is nessacary as an entire movie about Dragonball would be pointless, but starting the sayian saga movie without an explaintion of what has happened up until that point would leave at audience confused. I mean it wouldn't only be DBZ fan-boys going to watch the movie(s) so explaintions and brief summaries may be needed for some aspects of the series.

They should go like this

Saiyain Saga movie (Turles comes with Raditz)

Namek/Freiza movie (Cliff Hanger "I have an important message for Goku)

Android/Cell saga movie

Broly saga movie (Instead he should come to Earth with Paragus and try to dominate the planet and they should take some elements from the Buu saga)

Amd then end the LAM series right there.

i think they should use also the original music from the anime (obviously they should remix it and make it more modern/serious/epic) like they did in the Haunted Mansion movie, where they used the original ride soundtrack in the beginning of the head titles and for the singing busts (grim grinning ghosts) -and also some now and then in the movie-
Omnia enim stolidi magis admirantur amantque,
inversis quae sub verbis latitantia cernunt,
veraque constituunt quae belle tangere possunt
auris et lepido quae sunt fucata sonore.

Indeed, the stupid most admire and love all
that is scarcely discernible, hidden by abstruse words,
and accept as true all things that sweetly caress
the ear, and that are masked by a pleasant sound.

No Rock please. There was never any rock and roll in the original japanese series. Steve Jablonsky has turned up the best orchestrated sound so far with Transformers and The Island. I hope he does. Somehow DBZ and rock just never sounded right to me..

with "remix" i mean that it should played by an orchestra and with some serious soundtrack musical instruments

I gotta agree with classical+techno. Something synthetic, like Faulconer's work. They need to get Bruce in there, it made some great music that fit the cartoon well.
Voice work: Work in Progress [Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans] Part 1[English dub], w/ the score done by Scott Morgan of Faulconer Productions.

I'm sure Immediate Music can produce some nice music for this movie, I know they mostly do trailer music, but they could do score if they wanted

I have two more I would like to add to the list. First is Michael Kamen. Not only did he write the scores for the Die Hard series and the Leathal Weapon series. he also wrote lovely scores for Band of Brothers (TV) and Mr. Holland's Opus. He also did the score for Iron Giant and X-Men and Conducted the Phillidelpha Sympony Orchestra in concert with Metallica. I think he may do well with a DBZ score. Action music, touching music where needed and a touch of irreverent rock where needed.

Yes, he would do great....there's just one BIG problem with Michael Kamen....

...it's been years since he died... :(

I think Steve Jablonsky would be the best choice for a movie like DB. Many here know that Yann Tiersen is my favorite composer but he isn't the kind that would do a score for a movie like this. It doesn't fit his style.

I just hope there's no rock in the movie, specially anything by Bruce Falcouner. His music is annoying...

Immediate Music is like the fast food of orchestrated music.

IMO the score is essential, but, like every movie, always must be a theme music, and my suggestion is LOST IN SPACE, from AVANTASIA new album... You can hear a little bit of it at Tobias Sammet's official myspace page...

lol yeah I know

I kinda like their track "Rising Empire" though. It's one of their only songs that have any trace of emotional investment without losing the bombastic trademark.

(Rising Empire was the song that played during the X-Men 3: The Last Stand trailer)
