Forum Cynic Posts: 2,447 Group: Admin Member #7 Joined: April 9, 2006	In a true "next gen" sense, did the game really improve enough to merit the feeding frenzy that has ensued or is it just Halo in a brighter package that will entertain serious gamers for a month and college age Xboxlive-monkeys for a year by cursing at their opponents about cheating?

Autobot Posts: 559 Group: Members Member #76 Joined: May 12, 2006	So far as I can tell it is just halo in shiny packaging. It is the first Halo game that I played through to completion, I've only played Halo and Halo 2 sparingly. But overall it was fun.

But halo3 has improved so much!, now you can choose from a variety of armor that You Earn throughout the game, the only thing bad about halo 3 is that the only way to complete the game is to earn all the acheivments onb live and wat about those people who cant afford live or cant afford the internet at all.wat i hav found is that i had become very attached to halo 3 but since i dont have live atm there is no point in me trying to complete a game that will forever for some be uncompleted and i always like to finish wat ive started but since i dont hav live ill have to wai till i get it on my account that i have nearly completed the game on the other good thing is the new levels that r coming out onto windows live marketplace rats nest, foundry and the other i cant remember lol

They are making games with exclusive content ONLY available for cash on live or by accomplishing tons of extremely hard goals. From a business standpoint it is brilliant, from a players standpoint, I find it aggravating. I want all my content on one disc, I don't want to have to go to 3 different places and pay extra to finish one game that I already overpayed for. As to Halo 3, I've noticed that the hype has really died down, even sooner than Halo 2 did. Granted I do enjoy the games, but they have limited replay value for me, unless I have a room full of guys to play with. Online multiplayer is just boring.

Some of the achievements in Halo 3 are exceptionally hard. Though I did get all of them, the online ones are without question the hardest.

If you haven't already done so be sure to download the map pack, the Heroic pack is free, and the legendary costs 800 points (Avalanche alone is worth the 800 points).
