Originally, I would just come here to get news, but i just decided to create an account in order to discuss about the movie too. That's how I started too! Anyway in response to your new topic, as a fan of the Terminator movies I've always thought the android/cell saga had a lot of potential. For me it's close between that and Frieza but I think the Frieza movie would turn out to be a little bit better story wise. And since it seems like there's no Dr. Gero in this movie I doubt we'll get to the androids which is a bummer.

Kami Posts: 5,113 Group: Members Member #283 Joined: December 10, 2006	Actually the manga was supposed to stop at the end of the Freeza saga I believe and if I remember correctly, Dr. Gero wasn't mentioned in Dragonball. He was an offshoot of the Red Ribbon Army saga and just a plot device to introduce the androids and Cell for the next story arc.

Picture this, there's a top secret organization called Red Ribbon plotting world domination. They've secured a newly discovered technology that assures victory.Gero is their leader. By this time Goku is a big name, a big hero and possibly the only man who can stop them so they begin plotting his demise via androids, the only power that can take him on.. Meanwhile in the distant future, Mirai trunks endures a post-apocalyptic world, Bulma is dead but before she dies she tells Trunks all sorts of stories about the heroic Goku who died saving the Earth from Freeza's second coming, long before he was born one in which Goku's timeline Trunks easily prevented. Trunks reveals who he is to Goku and warns him of the Red Ribbon Organization. Dr. Gero does not die until the escape of the bio weapon Cell. The rest they might just take a chance with. That's just how I always saw it. As long as Gohan is involved I'm good.

Kami Posts: 5,113 Group: Members Member #283 Joined: December 10, 2006	Sounds like a plausible storyline for the movie to me, especially seeing the direction their going with the current movie. Most of the plot points are there, they're just being set up in a slightly different way.

Everything else should be left out, and nothing anyone says will change my mind. Cell and Buu were too ridiculous for live action.

Kami Posts: 5,113 Group: Members Member #283 Joined: December 10, 2006	I agree that Buu might be a little over the top for a movie, however with heavy fantasy movies doing well at the boxoffice you never know. That being said, I think Cell is one of the more important sagas along with the Freeza saga. Cell has the greatest character development of any saga. Not only do we see Gohan mature and become what he's always been meant to be, but Vegeta's transformation from a loner and self absorbed egomaniac into someone who knows what self sacrifice is and caring about what happens to others really means. He finds his humanity. The whole saga is about learning who you really are inside. Cell is the epitome of egotism, self centeredness and outward perfection yet he was shallow inside. Since he was made from cells of all the Z Warriors, he was a mirror reflection of all their worst traits. By destroying Cell, they all left those parts of themselves behind and ended up being better for it. I think this is too juicy a concept for any actor or director to turn down.

Super Saiyan Posts: 1,343 Group: Members Member #545 Joined: May 17, 2007	I think the only two things I disliked about the cell saga were the amount of super saiyans and how the humans couldn't help very much. Maybe they could level the playing field more in the movies. I know most of you are against this idea but I think if cell was more machine and less organic it would make more sense to the plot. But I won't start the whole nano technolgy argument again even though I still think it would work really well.

However, I think that the freiza saga would make the best film, just because the super sayan transformation is just way too cool, and it would look cool on film if they did it right.

The Freiza saga will probaly be the best. I just like the fact of it ending as Goku sacraficing his own life to save the planet, and Gohan taking his place as protector of the Earth. Ending it at the Freiza saga would leave out Vegeta and Goku settling the score, Vegeta getting married to Bulma, and Cell. I mean come on, Cell was the most coolest villian ever.

Either than one or Cell saga would be my favourite. no cuz if u ask me the whole saga could be cut down in to the first 30 35 mins of the movie every saga should get its own movie {the main ones not the filler or little sagas} but i thing the best of all the sagas to make in to a movie would be freiza buy far lol cuz its the first time we get to see the super saiyan of legend reborn in goku but i think they should end it like Akira Toriyama ended it with the buu saga and just forget gt all to gether :saiyanpower: :saiyanpower:
