Super Saiyan Posts: 2,711 Group: Members Member #166 Joined: July 5, 2006	You guys ever think of making a mini banner/s for members here to add to their sigs on other forums they're apart of? I think if someone made a flashy lookin one, members who are active on other forums could add it to their sig and get people's attention. It certainly wouldn't hurt to give it a shot. I think it's a good idea (unless the forum doesn't allow ads in sigs which is stupid and idk what forum would't allow that).

Just put liveactionanime.org on it and don't forget to make it an active link when you drop it in you sig. We also have a couple of people with their own websites that could drop a copy in the corner of their front page as well, like JP and Jappo for instance. Good idea Maff, good advertising smarts you got there.

You can find a link here: http://www.liveactionanime.org/link_us.html It was more for affiliates, but if you guys want to use them too, by all means go ahead. And we don't allow blatant advertising, and no forum really does. But if it's in the sig, it's really no big deal.

While doing the research I posted in the Gen board about what other sites are doing that's popular and draws active members, I found that quite a few boards have an advertising thread specifically for advertising other boards or posting links to other sites you think might interest users. They have rules about how you can post so people don't stuff like "Join my board and I'm make you a mod!" Which is basically just stupid. We're actually one of the few boards that doesn't have a thread for that. I know we did when I first started, but it was taken down. Why was it removed? It couldn't have been that bad.

But I think the reason we removed it was becuase it just really wasn't used at all. A lot of our members didn't have a site to promote. And what I meant by my previous statement is that most boards don't allow people to say start a thread in some random board and say, "HEY COME VISITS MY SITE!!!1" :rolleyes:
