Like the contraceptives thread- there were a few posts that were spammish, but all in all, it went fine. And usually, the debatable threads are pretty mopey. It isn't such a bad thing for someone to lighten it up a bit with at least one silly post.

But when people do nothing but be serious, they get aggravated because of that. I think that no matter what, it won't go too well- debates will get hectic and tense, and if you enforce the rules to make sure there isn't any flaming or name calling, then the people who argue the most probably won't post at all, leaving it inactive.

But not everyone wants to have to hold back their thoughts (every single thought, whether it be harsh or condescending or just straight up flame).

I Don't Love You I'm Just Passing The Time Posts: 6,803 Group: Global Moderator Member #4 Joined: April 9, 2006	i look at it this way. i am now apathetic to this argument. its tedious and boring. all we can do is try our best to control outbursts, at the best of our current capabilities. otherwise debates shall forever be too difficult to get the right response on. censorship wrong, completely free wrong.... and on the spam board, i now consider it pointless, as spam threads never got used anyway, as people only like to f*** up serious conversations or the such. so................. stress vented realistically. ah thats nice
	I Want To Drink, Drink, Drink, Smoke, Fuck, Fight, I Want To Shout, Trip, Scream, I Want To Die! I Want To Be Arrested, I Want To Be Molested, And I've Damaged My Brain, Next Weekend Let's Do It Again! Also I don't like many of you, and take great joy out of punishing anyone who's a douchebag. Keep that in mind.

I'd like to see the debate board, but the point is, we can't guarantee that everyone will keep their ego in check. I still agree with the comedy board, and am glad to see it getting underway.
