I mean, The Wachowski Brothers knew what they were doing. They knew the show, like most anime, is waay over-the-top so that's how they are making the movie look and feel. It seems to have this over-the-top element as well as all other aspects that define anime as well as adding the improvements that can be added by a live-action adaptation. And about the trailer again, I think it should have been the first trailer to be released. Seriously, the CGI looks incredibly better.
