Maybe they can add the cars from the Gran Turismo series too. After all, it's like the only truly respectable franchise that has come out of Sony itself.

I don't even know about that. Granted GT brought out one of the most semi-realistic racing scenes, but even after 4 games what have they accomplished since game 1?

Not much. But I still can't think of any other Sony original franchise that has garnered as much respect.

I still love Gran Turismo though, even if the only ones I like are the first and third ones. The second one was exactly the same as the first one except with less cars and different tracks. The third one was an improvement thanks to the PS2's advantages over the PS1, like improved control sensibility and graphics. And the fourth one... well, same cars, different tracks, that I just wasn't willing to go over again.

Lets see, Spiderman anyone? Sony Bought the rights, he belongs to Sony now. Zack Fair (FF Crisis Core For the PSP) Vincent Valentine (Dirge of Cerberus) And even Sephiroth, Cloud, and anyone else from VII. Auron would be a cool character (FFX) Kratos Definatly. The Prince from Prince of Persia? And even Characters that dont belong to sony can be used, Sonic and Snake were on SSBB...Hell Darth Vadar and Yoda are on Soul Calliber! What About some Mortal Kombat people? Or even Street Fighter? Did it say strictly Sony? Who are the game developers for this franchise?

Well, the big deal for SSB was that it was nintendo exclusive characters, the game was made by nintendo. Sonic was added because Sega no longer makes consoles and Sonic more and more being integrated into Nintendo games, and Snake was added because the developer has been asking since SSBM was still in the works. Granted no one ever said 3rd parties couldn't be involved, but that pretty much defeats the purpose of making it a Sony exclusive. If they are just going to go straight 3rd party the game would be far too expensive to put together and you might as well just make it multi-plat.

Sony only owns the film rights to Spider-Man the game license belongs to Activsion. Otherwise all things Spider-Man still belongs to Marvel.

1. Spiderman doesn't belong to Sony.

2. If the game was developed by a third party, then why would they make it a PlayStation exclusive? It's obvious that a SSB equivalent for the playstation would be developed by Sony.

3. Sony (or whoever develops it, which I think only Sony would) would have to get rights from Square Enix to use characters from Final Fantasy. Rights from Midway to use characters from Mortal Kombat, from Capcom to use characters from Street Fighter and even rights from Sierra Entertainment to use Crash Bandicoot (it doesn't belong to Sony anymore).

I think that maybe they would have characters from one franchise at most and the rest would be all Sony characters, which to think of it there are more than a few, let's see: Sly Cooper, Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, Twisted Metal, Ape Escape, Dark Cloud, Okage...and I guess there's others more.

The problem however, is that like these are nowhere near as recognizable as Mario, Link, Picachu or Samus.

Actually, Sly is owned by Sucker Punch Productions. Sly 4 would probably be the only game that would cause me to consider buying a PS3, lol.

I could understand why Gt thinks that Spiderman is owned by Sony- After all, the films were created by Tristar. But the franchise itself belongs to marvel.

And if Sony did it right they could bring in game characters like Chris Redfield from RE 5 and others that are exclusive to Sony and Microsoft.
