Night Shift Admin Posts: 2,067 Group: Admin Member #17 Joined: April 16, 2006	Well everyone I said I was working on a few things and here is one of them: now this is just a test. We on the staff want to get everyones feedback on this before we really decide to do anything. Zeta is still up in the air right now and we are still waiting on support from the zeta board staff. I decided to look around and way our options. V-Bulletin is $160 well PHPBB3.0 is free and has more features then V-Bulletin so I made a new database and installed it. I've been working on it for about a week now figuring out all this FTP to change a forum skin took a few days lol but I got it down now. I want everyone to know this is a very big and complicated decision. Not because we have a few options for a new forum to pick from, but because for the first time in the forums history we aren't moving because of a problem with the forum but because we feel we need a better forum. So please let us know what you think about the PHPBB3 LAA forum. http://www.liveactionanime.org/forum best viewed on Fire Fox but still great on IE.

Lillim Posts: 7 Group: Members Member #2,119 Joined: April 11, 2008	If you want my absolute honest opiniion, then i'd say that phpBB is a good choice. Invisionfree just makes it seem unprofessional if you understand what i mean. phpBB will make the site look as if it's more dedicated (which it is). One thing which i would change is the skin, but i guess that's more or less personal preference. Good luck with the move if you do it.

Granted I understand that skinning on there is a new thing, but I really don't like the idea of switching everything over at this point, as well as starting a brand new forum. This would require mass reregistering which could in turn lead to lost members as well as the loss of all the current topics open.
