 I've tried. I've borrowed copies from friends, but in both cases the discs were too badly scratched to play. I've seen Advent Children. I've played Dirge of Cerberus. But I've never played the original.

 I know how it goes. I got FFIX in 2000. I finished it last year.

In any case, as good as VII is claimed to be, I have a hard time believing it could be better than X.
