I have lots of anime episodes downloaded on my RealPlayer, and I want to import them into Windows Movie Maker, since that is the only editing software I have. Is there anyway to get them to open or change the file format or whatever? Or is it just impossible to do this? Any help would be great!

I think someone posted this once before. Sadly Realplayer and Window Media functions are completely non-compatible. Someone found a converter but it cost a bit of money if I remember. I personally am always against AMVs with pirated anime anyway though. |

Ah. I figured this much. Well the only reason I had them downloaded was because I am in the process of watching a series in it's entirety, and I really am planning on buying the whole series once I get ze moneys. Right now, this is just the cheap way. I haven't got a clue on how to upload DVDs to my computer and such, so I thought maybe I could do something with the shtuff I downloaded. Ahhh well, I really had the urge to make an AMV. Thanks anyways!

Sweet. Here's a couple tips for you to give you a head start: 1) Avoid excessive "flapping". That is when the characters' lips are moving with no other motion on the screen, and they aren't lip syncing. Just gives a feeling like they should be saying something, when they aren't, disconcerting. 2) Unless necessary, try not to linger on a slow scene too long. Makes things boring. 3) Avoid Subtitles, unless absolutly necessary. Those are just the most basic mistakes made when starting out. Good luck, I'm interested to see what you come up with. |

I've ran into yet another problem. I spent all this time making my AMV, it's done, I go to 'Save Movie File', and I get this error message: "Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in the movie are still available, that the saving location is still available, and that there is enough free disk space available, and then try again" Original source files are available to the best of my knowledge, and I'm pretty sure I have enough space.. I worked so hard to. Anybody know anything? |

Make sure ALL the files you used (music and video) are where they were originally when you imported them. If you moved them around to other folders it will error. Try saving strictly to the desktop, that will avoid the second part of that error. And other than that I'm stumped. |

Wow thats great that program worked. And about the error, try what stryyder said. i think sometimes you need to save it in different folder and different name and some stuff like that. But first save that video as in save as or something like that so you can edit it anytime. After that go to create video thing. (wow i didn't work with that program in a while i can't remember stuff, i need to make a video my self). i might try that converter my self. Later have fun and soon as you put that video up on youtube, you have to post it here. |

Thanks for trying to help.. but it didn't work. I tried everything. I even re-converted all the episodes, and started all over hoping maybe my old files were corrupted or something. More time I wasted. ![]() I tried saving it to numerous places and folders. None of it works. And when I converted, I moved none of the folders, everything was where it was before. The odd thing is, it will start to save, and then stop, and give me the same error. And just for the heck of it, I put a few clips in the storyboard/timeline, and didn't edit nothing, and it saved. O just wondering. What is bigger MB or GB? I can never remember. I just wonder if it is to big or something. This is what is says: Estimated space required: 31.98MB Estimated disk space available on drive C: 9.11GB Darnit I really wanted to post it to. |

1 byte = 8 bits 1 KB = 1024 bytes 1 MB = 1024 KB 1 GB = 1024 MB 1 TB = 1024 GB That's as high as it goes for now. And then like: petta- exa- zetta- yotta- but we're not that big yet
