I completely understand the high school fears though, that's really merited as a huge change. Some of the stuff, like Goku being white? ARE YOU SERIOUS. Obviously, if these people were Shakespeare fans, then they would want Othello to be played by a TRU MOOR. And Goku doesn't even have clich� Asian i dunno.. mannerisms. He's raceless, he's a moffin Saiyan (whatever race that may resemble, which, in this case (according to the casters) means Chatwin, who just happens to be a white actor.) shakes head* ...but, the podcast keeps skipping.
	GacktForever. Cut the kids in half.

We're not even sure if Goku is in high school or if he just ends up there after Bulma hits him with her car. I just love the way it freaks people out. :lol: I also had trouble with the podcast skipping badly in several places. I also think that they are getting to be too long. It takes a while for me to download it all and I'm on the highest speed internet connection there is. Folks with slower connections or still on dial-up (Yes they still exist) will be there for a half hour waiting for it to load completely. Perhaps you could either make them shorter or try to make the file size smaller.

Editing is still noticeable as well. How are you assembling this? As MP3s? Assemble it as a WAV and then compress to MP3 for putting it online, that might help with the skipping.

Playoff Mutton Chops Posts: 6,212 Group: Head Admin Member #8 Joined: April 9, 2006	Well I know the reason the file size is so large is beacuse all the interviews were recorded at 320 kbps. I didn't realize this until after the fact. A couple weeks prior I ahd recorded a concert and I forgot to change it back to 128 kbps. So that's mostly the reason why it might have takn long to downlaod, not the length. Somewhere around the hour/ 45 min. mark is what we're shooting for anyways. As for the skipping, can you guys tell me where it's happening at? I only heard two spots myself, one towards the end and then the closing music. It definitely was not doing that on the original MP3 I have, there's no skipping whatsoever. Something must have been lost when we uploaded it onto the site, and I'm guessing it must be from the large file size. I'm not expecting to have another file this large, so hopefully that'll solve that problem, and I'll try it as a WAV as well. About the actual material though, I can say that I had to do a double take too when I found out Goku was in high school. We don't know exactly what capacity it might be in, but I'm sure it was somewhat of a shocker for everybody. :wacko:

You would be better off recording as WAV files, though the file sizes can be huge...so if you have to record as MP3s, use the best quality possible, then when you edit it all together, export as a WAV....you will end up with a file thats a few hundred mb in size...then convert that file back to an MP3 and put that online. As far as downloading goes, I would consider putting it on filesharing sites as well as on LAA. Sites like rapidshare. It might ease the strain on the site if there are other places to download. EDIT: As for Goku in High School...expect my thoughts on that in a once off "Vadakin Rants on DragonBall" mp3 at some point this week,

I'm going to try that method below next time. I really apoligize everyone, I had no idea that it sounded like this, it was fine on the master copy.
