I agree with Del. You can't compair platformers to RPG style games. While platformers usually are great fun (to me at least) the style of play is still very limited. Having 40 hours of mario type gameplay, to me, would start getting repetative and redundant. Zelda games, FF games and such have evolving gameplay where you unlock weapons and abilities that change gameplay as you go. The second thing is, how much were you playing in those 4 days? Did you get EVERY star or just beat bowser? I have been playing on and off for a week now (probably only every other day) and I am probably a third of the way through (40/120 stars). For casual gamers like myself that don't put aside much time for VG anymore this game is perfect. |

Woops, forgot this thread. And I had gotten 94 stars in those four days. I haven't played it since then because I'd already overplayed it.  I understand that shortness doesn't make a game bad. It was just surprising that the game ended so quickly (and abruptly), to be honest. Because it was such a fun game, I didn't really want it to end that soon. |

I will concede that compared to Mario 64 this game can be quite linear. 64 had random secret stars that you could totally miss and be searching for for days. Plus it had certain stars in the first few worlds you had to go back and get after unlocking the red cap and such. This one you can pretty much complete each level in order. I'm up to about 75 stars now. Just unlocked the final "galaxy room". There are quite a few stars I have skipped, mostly the secret stars in each level. Plus I am guessing the new red star I unlocked is going to play some part in the elusive "7th" star I have yet to find in any level. I haven't gone through the final level yet, though it opens after getting 60 stars (M64 let you face the final after 70). |

The last level's just a bit too easy. I expected it to be a bit trickier to be honest, and I found the first bowser boss on Mario 64 to be harder.  But as always, there was a great level design and physics engine that made playing it fun. Maybe the difficulty is what makes it fun + satisfying? I'm known to complain about nothing after all. |

I'm surprised that most of you dont have galaxy. I bought it when it came out, all I have to day is it's awesome along with the music. It's my 3rd favorite wii game behind Mario Kart wii and Twilight princess. |

u can't really complain about how long the game is. becaues as someone said are there any realy mario games that have a long life span? If u want something with life span get brawl. there endless amount things u can do. Just look at the adventure mode(subspace) that alone took me like a week to beat alone. but a word of caution only get that game if u like fighting games and have friends over often in enough to play with u then the game is fun. about galaxy i have a 100 stars to hard to get the last 20 |

I actually just beat Bowser yesterday as a matter of fact.  I do kind of agree with Mirai on that though, Bowser was pretty easy to ebat for the most part. Did it in one try. But still, this game is going to have a long life for me. It's defitneily going tot ake me time to get the other 60 stars out there, probably for the same reason as Stryyder as I don't ahve much time to play video games as I'd like (not to mention I'm playing 4 other games at the same time!). But even after you do get all the stars, the replay value is great because then you get to try and beat the game as Luigi, which is a nice added bonus. |

I like it very much =] I just don't like how your hard-earned lives are all taken away when you restart the game. I also don't like how you only have three life bars. Kinda gay. And the whole sphere thing is hard to get used to. I much prefer the flat worlds. Other than that, it pwns Sunshine hard. |

You get used to the dimensions after a while. The lives this is kinda bad, but later in the game you get a letter from the princess nearly every time you start which includes 5 1-up shrooms. And there is a shroom in some levels that doubles your life bar. All in all 3 was pretty good, considering coins are in fresh supply. |

Well, I beat the game a couple months ago. And I mean I COMPLETELY beat it; I collected 121 stars with Mario and 121 stars with Luigi. I agree that many of the levels, even some of the last levels, were pretty easy. However, it might be that I'm one of the worst gamers of all time, but many other challenges made me sweat. Specially some of the comet stars, like Luigi's Purple Coins, and racing Cosmic Luigi was a pain in the ass in some levels. As to the quality of the game, well, I'm sorry, but I think it's the best Mario game I've ever played. It accomplished the one thing that Sunshine needed to do and didn't: improve on the gameplay of Mario 64. |
