Mark Kermode is a Britsh film critic who makes regular appearances on BBC Radio 5. He's quite scathing and quite funny. Posts: 5,385 Group: Admin Member #3 Joined: April 9, 2006	Very well: - He equates watching Speed Racer to putting your head into a candyfloss maker in a fairground. - He supposes that the makers of Speed Racer have found some way of ingesting "Bazooka Joe" as a narcotic substance. - He compares Speed Racer to Sin City and Spy Kids in as much as it bridges the gap between live-action and animation - He acknowledges that Speed Racer is an artistic construction in a similar way to Sin City. - He largely dismisses the plot as he supposes the overarching message about corporate corruption would be lost on young children. - He reckons it's too long. - BUT in spite of everything, he says that it's an exhilirating experience for children and from the perspective of design, it's inspired.
