Well, looks like we're going to be getting a remake of Death Note. Can't say if I'm too happy with it or not yet. I KNOW IT!!!!  I was having a feeling about this once Death Note live action movie came here in the U.S!!!! MAN!!!!!!! RRRRAAAHHH!!!!  I think this might be a 50-50 thing here!

I don't like the sound of this at all. I mean, I know I make no sense since I'm excited about the Dragonball movie but Japan didn't make a live action of it, I think it was Taiwan did that but I really don't wanna talk about that one, lol. Death Note is WAY more Japanese then even the Dragonball characters b/c none of them were really Japanese, they were even from a completely different earth altogether. But since Death Note obviously takes place in Japan and they are Japanese then why make an American remake? I mean they already have two movies of their own do we really need a remake or another one but done by the US? I think that's just stupid on my opinion. They'll have to change the names and everything and it'll be just stupid and weird. I don't think it'll do well at all. Dragonball and Transformers 2 has a WAY better chance then this. Even though I'm from the US, I think sometimes we just need to leave some things be for petes sake>_> Wow, I used Japan or Japanese alot, lol. Sorry, that was alot. Hope I didn't go to far on this, lol. It's just really aggravating!

I pretty much agree with you there. Death Note “is” a japanese movie, I can't really see it as a remake of a U.S film. Unless....: -Changing the names -Take out couple characters. -Give it some “Ehhh & Ahhh” actors/actress. -Give the movie some time to make it *cough* 5 years *cough* . -Change the story a little... -Changing some of the characters personally. -No of this and no of that. -etc ( to f*** around with the movie) AND BAM!! Dragonbal-I mean Death Note! |

This movie has more of a chance at being a success here in the U.S. then that of Dragonball. So I think it'll do just fine, you fans are way to harsh sometimes. I for one can't wait!!

Tom Welling as Light!! Yeah, that would be the epitomy of failure. Seriously though, anyone got an idea on who would play who? Maybe Gary Oldman as Chief Yagami. Shia LeBouf as Matsuda would beinteresting, even though he's in everything lately. I'd definitely want some no-names for L and Light. |

Actually, LeBeouf as Matsuda does sound kind of intriguing, I wouldn't mind that. But redoing the entire movie as a whole, in my opinion, just doesn't make any sense. The film got a great response here it seemed. Why couldn't they just give it a fuller release and call it at that. I can't see an Americanized version of the movie doing the series any justice. |
