I just wanted to ask the members of this fine forum: What are your fondest nostalgic memories or what where your favorite old TV shows? I wanted to post a topic for this for a while, and I did it. Here's some of my favorite old Nostalgic shows: Dragonball Z: I'm going to tell the story again, so keep shut. One day, wile watching my favorite TV show from the past, Cartoon Network, I saw this preview for this little show called Dragonball Z. The promo dragged me in, I've been watching the show for 10 years, and it's definitely my favorite Anime/TV show. Power Rangers: Oh my God, I LOVED this show when I was little. The fighting, like DBZ, dragged me into the madness. I tried to get the Zords and Action figures from the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers season, but I started to collect the toys around the Zeo era, so no MMPR toys, except for a few here and there. I saw both the movies in the theaters, watched every season, or at least know something from every season. It was definitely cooler then than it is now. Now, PR has just become a money-maker for Disney. I feel so bad for the kids who have to watch the garbage that is "Power Rangers: Jungle Fury". Bleh. They should watch some old, taped episodes from the original series to get the full experience. Pokemon: Oh, come on, what kid from '98 to now didn't know what Pokemon is? Got into it from watching it on CN, (just like everything else) and played ALL the games. (Except for a few random games) I still have the first, second, and third movies, on the original tapes, have the Red, Blue, Yellow games, Gold, Silver, and Crystal games, which have become more like collector items, because half of them don't even work anymore. (Stupid dry batteries) My Red, Blue, and Yellow games still work, but not Gold and Silver.   Yeah, I have all the GBA games, except for Ruby, damn thing costs $34 at GameStop... And I have grown out of buying new cards, but I still have my old ones, away in storage.

I know it wasn't that long ago, but high school. I hated it when I was going to school. Now I miss it, along with all the good times I had with my friends and what not. |

I miss some parts of high shcool, like being able to relax with friends at Savage Mill (old historic mill turned shopping and dining) after AP Exams, I miss the lunch table conversations/discussions, and poker games. And I miss being in drama and Art class there where I could get a grade for a painting! Other nostalgic things: ~Cosplay Conventions!! (I know Otakon is coming up, but when there isn't one coming up, I miss the excitement and being with friends.) ~4th and 5th grade. I looooved being able to bring my Beanie Babies and bendable dolls (you know-- the ones with the ball of rubbery strings hanging off of it?), and my huge collection of Lip smackers to school and sleepovers. And going on field trips! ~Panama City Beach, Fl. I lived there when I was younger, but I went there a LOT growing up because my mom's side of the family lives in the Panhandle. I can't wait to go there with the family and Robert (yeah-- he'll be at my family reunion!! =D ) at the beginning of August! ~ Sleepovers with my cousins. It was so much fun playing house, watching scary movies and shows on Sci-Fi, telling ghost stories, playing the older game consoles, and just hanging out with them. ~Non-gambling poker, billiards, and movie nights with my friends. I don't like gambling money, but I love the card games themselves! ~Older Nickelodeon. the game shows, "Rugrats", "You Can't do That On Television", "Rocko", "Doug", "Salute your Shorts", and all those! And "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" I know nickelodeon's been around since the 70s or so, but I miss the 90s!! Edited by Otaku_Kawaii86, Jul 10 2008, 10:55 AM.

Beanie Babies! I always LOVED to collect them! I remember getting the Teenie Beanie Babies, the ones from McDonalds, that came in the Happy Meals. I still have some laying around, I think. Oh, and the medium and big sized ones, I was crazy about. I still remember getting my first big one. It was a Multi-colored Lizard, named Lizzy. Still have him in my room. I have about 10-20 of them. (Small, Medium, and Large) |

Maybe if I was rich I'd put money in, but you know what? I don't have the money to throw away and I never win at poker! I just love playing for fun and being with my buddies. I had so many beanie babies when I was younger!! They covered my bed and floor with me posing. I think I wanted to submit the photo to Mary something's Bean Bag World. Eh heh.. I had so many Teeny Beanies too-- and duplicates! I swear they'd be worth money in the future but I was forced to give them up.. even the ones still in their bags and boxes. Oh well-- some children are happier now.

luck is only 10% of it, the rest is skill 
if you think like that. you have to be confident about taking their money. trust me you wont lose as much as you think, you might even win. tips: throw away hands that have a high card and low one ie. K3, or Q8. keep and raise with two overcards ie. KQ, KJ, QA. keep suited connectors ie. 67 of spades, 910 of hearts. dont try to bluff all the time, this isnt T.V. |
