I haven't seen any of the episodes but Priscilla showed me the movie. And it was bad A! I could definitely see these characters translating well into live action. See I don't know how anyone has not seen Cowboy Bebop episodes...it aired on Cartoon Network Adult Swim for like 3 years over and over and over lol.

Forum Cynic Posts: 2,447 Group: Admin Member #7 Joined: April 9, 2006	You really need to see the anime Rob. One of the best of all time, IMO. And yeah, if they don't sign Yoko on, I will boycot. There is no other way you can do it. I'd even be satisfied if they just used the music from the old OSTs. I'm a little worried to see the cast choices and director choice. So much of hollywood lately is either huge action explosion, dark thriller, or epic movie feel, I don't know if there is anyone around anymore who can do a relaxed, laid back movie, with action spurts and lots of non-dark drama. As well, they need a blank slate for Spike. Find someone who is a good actor, not well known, but well versed in Jeet Kun Do or Capoiera. I guess my main fear is they will try to take one facet (the space fights, the martial arts, etc.) and emphasize on it too much. The beauty of Bebop was that it was a rounded out melting pot of all the elements, none overpowering the others really.

Cowboy Bebop is such a classic, I don't a want a shtty LAM ruining it's reputation. Son of a btch, now I just sound like the nerds who protect DBZ. Whatever. Just like DBZ, I'll see it regardless because I just love Bebop that much.

Well depending on when it aired it may have been during a time where I didn't have cable. Even still I don't usually watch adult swim unless I'm flipping through the channels and happen to see ATHF, Futurama (which isn't on there anymore), or Robot Chicken. Usually I'm watching either Comedy Central or the History Channel. But trust me, after watching the movie seeing the episodes are top priority (as soon as I get time to get to my top priority list). lol Anywho, I think if they get a great writer and director then it should turn out very entertaining! I just wonder what they're adapting? Is it the movie, episodes, or original story? All I've seen is the movie so that's all I know right now. So those that have seen the episodes, are there any particular stories you'd like to see adapted for the movie?

If Keanu Reeves' enthusiasm isn't just a fa�ade, then I think he will do his best in portraying Spike. Also, if these people treasure their lives, they better not taunt the wrath of a PR chick; 'less they find themselves incapable of experiencing the joys of copulation.
