Super Saiyan Posts: 1,337 Group: Members Member #15 Joined: April 15, 2006	I got my xbox360 of eBay about year and few months ago, so i don't have warranty. Does anyone know how much $ will cost me to get it fixed? This crap sucks, and i just payed $50 for one year of xbox live and got $25 inter cooler.

Call Microsoft's support line and see if they will repair it even without the warantee card. Their service groups is supposedly very good, especially when regarding the red ring. If not, just look online for fix estimates. There are even some do-it-yourself repair instructions, but be careful about those.

It may void the warranty (it is at Microsoft's discretion) just call 1-800-4-MY-XBOX, and tell them you got the red ring, since they had such a massive problem the the red ring they retroactively put a 3 year warranty that covers the red ring. Get rid of the inter cooler they are a complete waste of money, just keep the system well ventilated, don't play for hours and hours on end.

Well i called them and they told me that i was never registered with them so they will fix it for free. i think i got 1 year but i could have gotten 3 year warranty. I told them that i got it on ebay. i think Microsoft sold it to me anyways. And the towel trick just messes up more stuff. Yea it works for few days but you cook your motherboard. Tx for all your help.
