And here is where many of you will say "dude, seriously? Yoko Kanno and The Seatbelts must return for Cowboy Bebop to be what it is!" And yeah, I'm one of them. What would you find musically suitable for the adaption?: composers, collaborations, artists, songs, what have you. |

All they've got to do is use the original soundtrack. Save a ton of money and make the movie around the music. |

I have to say...Jazz or old-school hip-hop. Adding rap and rock won't feel right in the movie. |

It has to be jazz, preferably from Yoko Kanno. Some rock could work, it did in Heavy Metal Queen. But really they should just be focusing on jazz and maybe some industrial stuff, like "Pushing the Sky" from the anime movie soundtrack. |

It's this song by Mos Def and Talib Kweli that always reminded me of Spike. It's called Thieves in The Night, from the blackstar album. |

If the people making this movie have any intelligence at all they will have Yoko Kanno compose the score to the movie. |

I would rather have this as miniseries but they WON'T do it. I want to hear the song in the film, "The real folk Blues." |

I'm also one for the genius that is Yoko Kanno and the Seatbelts. Also the artists who collaborated in the music field for series and/or movie, like Mai Yamane. Plus, Steve Conte and Tim Jensen. They should bring the jazzy feel to the LAA movie, since the music is as much a part of Cowboy Bebop as any of the characters, but they'll end up using whatever they feel like is right for the scenes. Not to mention, that whomsoever pays for the film will have a very important, if not decisive, say on what's going to be played. |
Thank you Rjx for the sig.![]() I will get to the 3k posts! >=o Tis be my new goal! | |

Wouldn't it be great that at the end of every movie, they fade it out with Real Folk Blues! Not just the first one, but all of them! |
