Lillim Posts: 94 Group: Members Member #1,877 Joined: March 4, 2008	Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla's Masaaki Tezuka to direct aviation drama The Japanese production company Bandai Visual is adapting the 2006 television anime series Yomigaeru Sora - RESCUE WINGS - and Rescue Wings manga as a live-action film. Masaaki Tezuka, the director best known for the Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla and Sengoku Jieitai 1549 films, will oversee the project. The original anime's story centers on a fighter pilot trainee named Kazuhiro Uchida who gets reassigned to a helicopter search-and-rescue unit, much to his (initial) dismay. By contrast, the live-action film will revolve around a female pilot named Haruka Kawashima; the model and actress Yūko Takayama (Cosplay Yūrei Guren Onna) will play the lead role. Tomokazu Miura (ALWAYS Sanchoume no Yuuhi), Yoshino Kimura (Shota no Sushi), Shuya Isaka, and Dai Watanabe will also star in the film. The Japanese Ministry of Defense, Air Self-Defence Force, and Maritime Self-Defense Force are participating in the project, so real UH-60J helicopters, F-15 fighters, and escort vessels will appear in the film.
