My prediction: Cardinals... partially because I just hate the Steelers. :P And I want to believe a team like Arizona can. go. all. the. way.

BIAS!!! STEELERS WILL RULE!!!....oh wait....

Yeah, I think it's going to be good. I don't even know if Pitt can pull it off. Kurt is amazing, I've always had a soft spot for AZ. I'll be happy either way, but of course I am rooting for the Steelers. d*** Lebeau and Mike Tomlin have made the perfect formula for defense, I'm sad that Lebeau is retiring this year, I want him to get another ring going out.

I'm happy for the Cardinals organization and Whisenhunt/Grimm, but they'll just have the accept 2nd place for now. Yeah, yeah, we've been hearing all week about how great Fitz/Boldin are, but they haven't faced the Steelers defense yet. I'm confident they can contain those two, they've faced similar challenges already and did well. So, GO STEELERS!

And Stryyder, Lebeau addressed the retiring rumor:

Kurt Warner wasn't sure if he was returning for the 2009 season earlier this year. Wouldn't it be nice for him to ride off into the sunset with a Superbowl win.

The Pittsburgh Steelers seem like the tougher team, with a damn good defense (and I love to see a good defense). If the Cardinals line can protect Warner and Edge and Hightower can get in the game, it will be tough.

I have a lot of respect for the Cardinals and especially for Kurt Warner. His testimony and faith in God are admirable and uplifting. His expertise and leadership are compelling, and his professionalism are something rarely seen in today's top athletes.

That being said I hope that the Steeler's win and carry away a sixth super bowl win this year:

Black and gold all they way!

Look at the play again and tell me he closed his fist and punched the dude. Yeah he did go a bit excessively, which he deservedly got penalized for, but no it wasn't dirty. We don't even know the context of why Harrison pancaked Francisco. It's very possible he did something to set Harrison off, i.e. going after his knees, a low blow, or some sh*t talk. Bottom line is you haters need to stop all the crying, "boohoo Harrison pushed that other player too hard! he needs to kiss and make up!" Hey I've got an idea, why don't they just stop playing football against each other and be friends, then they can hold hands and play hop scotch for four hours instead!

Like Obama? :teehee:

But it was a really great game. That 4th quarter, wow, it was just back and forth. But I knew the Cardinals wouldn't hang on to the league. They're like the Chicago Cubs of football. I mean, they have not won a championship SINCE they've been in Chicago, and that was like in the 1930's, maybe early 40's. It would've been a nice Cinderella story, but everyone knew there was no way it would happen.

I agree with you on that, bandwagoners annoy the bejesus out of me, they show up in droves AFTER a team wins everything. I know several people that are all of the sudden Steelers fans, and I had no idea they were even football fans previously. No way I'd never ever switch allegiance, even if, god forbid this happens, the Steelers become the new Lions! I respect all the die-hard fans that support their team through thick and thin.

And lol, good one Goshin.

Hey- let's take a thread about Superbowl, b*tch about the Steelers, AND incorporate Obama!

Yay!

And BTW- I think the highlight was the crotch shot that Bruce Springsteen gave to all of the world.
