Super Saiyan Posts: 1,389 Group: Members Member #24 Joined: April 16, 2006	Ok Just took a look through the videos on my playlist(over the videos i've put together) And WTF, 1 Video I can't even open and 3 got no sound at all. Seriously these videos has been PRIVATE VIDEOS since before Google bought Youtube. I'm starting to wonder if deleting something like this may actually be allowed if I don't even share the video with other then my closest friends... I mean seriously... earlier I've been able to accept the removal of videos, but removing videos without notifying the creator that plain annoying. I know there's others here with the same issue, so leet's just make this a complain thread about Youtube Do they actually watch through our Private videos? Edited by Shinrin, Mar 18 2009, 10:28 PM.

Kami Posts: 5,113 Group: Members Member #283 Joined: December 10, 2006	I think you have a browser glitch. According to Youtube, their players stream on Adobe Flash Player. If you are having problems go to the bottom of the page and in the gray box click the "Help Resources" link. Search for "audio won't play" or "video won'y play" and some articles will come up with instructions on how to reinstall Flash Player. It should work then. If they removed a video, you would get a box that says so at the top of the page and it would be gone for good. Not just have no sound or not play. It wouldn't even load the player.

Anything with Copyrighted material is subject to deletion whether it's music, video whatever. It doesn't matter if it's private. The only thing "private" means is that it cannot be searched for by other users. The terms and conditions, which you had to accept when creating your account, state that any videos posted on youtube, regardless of their private status are subject to inspection by Youtube staff. This isn't private space, it is owned by Youtube/Google. They will usually send you an email, but sometimes they won't. I got one saying my video had the audio removed (Green Day). If you look at your video list it should say "Audio removed/video disabled for copyright reasons" or something like that. Doesn't matter what you put up, it's still copyright protected. Sorry. Super Saiyan Posts: 1,389 Group: Members Member #24 Joined: April 16, 2006	I understand there reasoning, but seriously I had it in a similar way as if I had the amvs on my own pc and just once every � year had it off private a few hours to show frineds what I had. If I got the song why terminate it if it's for my own use... Especially when the sound of the videos at times went to the anime sound... Couldn't they just lock it into private or something so it wouldn't be possible for others to watch it... The deleted Kenshin video i find acceptable to have been deleted, only spend about 30 an hour making that one, but another of my videos I have no idea of how much time I spend on dour to program crashes and not having that program anymore, removing the sound of that one when I don't have access to the original video anymore(dour to the Hdd it was on having broken down) that's I had it ul to another side, but it was dl after 30 days of inactivity

Just having that video uploaded to their site, regardless of the "private" status is a violation of copyright and thus could be grounds for a lawsuit if any record companies actually got ballsy enough to try it. Either way, youtube is the LAST place I'd store a video. The best place to have your amvs is animemusicvideos.org. They won't be deleted (unless they have Evanescence, creed or seether music) and you can actually redownload them, if your original gets lost (something you CAN'T do on youtube.) Sorry, dude.

Super Saiyan Posts: 1,389 Group: Members Member #24 Joined: April 16, 2006	Tried to get em on amv.org long ago, but I couldn't seem to get connected with for the local ul/dl so picked another side to ul it to for a direct/indrect dl not sure what it's like if it's similar to Rapidshare/megaupload etc. but as said 30 days no dl= deleted I just liked how I could rewatch em whenever i wanted and didn't have to wait.
