Yeah, they can go. Oolong, though, was a staple character in early DB, so how will the story progress without him? Also, Yajirobe was the one who cut off Vegeta's tail during the Saiyan battle. Will that job fall onto Krillin or someone else? |

I say you can pass the tail cutting off to Krillin. I found a way around Oolong. He wasn't needed in my script. |

Rob, do you know how many SR sequels they plan to make? I am just curious. I wonder if FOX has plans competing with the Superman Returns or to release DB after Superman is all over. What do you think? |

Destructo Disc sounds more realistic than Yajirobi cutting off the tail. The ones Rob has posted are in no need in the LAM. |

Yeah destructo disc would work. I haven't gotten to that part of my sequel script yet, so I'll probably just write Krillin in to do it. |

I agree. I mean there should be some light moments in it, because part of what makes dragonball good is the humor. But for the most part it should be taken as serious as Star Wars, the Matrix, or LOTR. |

Yes, but don't forget that Star Wars, the Matrix and LOTR had their own humor in them. For example in LOTR - Legolas and Gimli competition in killing enemies or Hobbits. Star Wars - C3PO, R2D2, Jar Jar Binks(spelling?) and so on. I think DBZ should have more humor than the movies above, to make it different from other movies, but I agree about silly jokes Goku throws sometimes, it would look ridiculous to be honest. Btw, I have a question. If we start from Dragonball, then how would you explain the birth of Piccolo. I mean King Piccolo spitting out an egg seems a bit strange. What do you think?

Well it looks like the possibilities of a 2007 release just got slimmer.
Fantastic Four would most likely be marked as Fox's big Summer movie. Of course that doesn't mean there isn't a chance for a winter release but I have never seen DBZ as a type of movie that would be released any other time but summer. Remember Spiderman 3 comes out in 2007 also so this is Fox's try to combat it in the box office. I doubt they would release 2 superhero based movies around the same time. I still stand by my prediction for a 2008 release, although it changes a bit from what I did predict; which was DBZ LAM going up against the Superman sequel. But the Superman sequel is set for 2009, with the Batman sequel set for 2008. Although pitting it against Superman could get some intersting marketing strategies. So I say either 2008 or 2009. If not by 2009 I don't expect to see it. Oh and to answer your question Andrew I believe that Routh and Spacey both signed on for two or three more. I'm pretty sure Bosworth has too. |

I see. Then my predict goes to 2009-2010. I don't know why. Just that sense. To be honest I am not good at predicting things, but facing the facts Rob has mentioned, I honestly feel that it's Goku vs. Superman vs. Batman...But if am selfish and if I had to choose the best way for me and Rob, I would pick a 2010-2011 release, written and directed(or co-directed) by Rob. I guess by that time we will be running the score as actors, I hope...

Oh, the movie was not japanese. First I head it was from Korea, then Taiwan, HK, and so on. My main idea is to begin with a 2-3 hour movie on DB. Just a single movie to adapt the whole DB series, not place it all; but adapt. I would leave Chiaoz (sorry, I am used to call him Chiaos or Chaos, like it sounds in the dub from Mexico, same on Ten; I mean Tien) in, maybe Ulong and Puar (I would love to place Jason Alexander as either Ulong or King Kai) but I am still having trouble with Lunch/Launch. While with time she goes into oblivion; it would be interesting to have such character on the film. My idea on the Red Ribbon-Piccolo thing, I am ripping it off from Killer Instincts on Ultratech-Eyedol. They found the container with Piccolo, think they can control him while he already has an agenda of his own. |

I don't know, too much adaptation and you could alienate the fans. |
