Autobot Posts: 820 Group: Global Moderator Member #573 Joined: June 12, 2007	hey people imma bringin you a little fun -if it's true that only Frieza's race can survive in the open space, for what obscure reason also Bardock, Broly, his father, Nappa and Vegeta fly around like a shuttle without dying? -about that: remember when in DB Goku carries the rabbit and his henchmen on the moon using the magic staff? how the heck did he surpass earth's atmosphere without dying? and why did that only take two seconds when to get to Kami's palace (which is still inside the atmosphere) took him 148 episodes? -but if before Goku's arrival, Frieza was the most powerful being in the universe, why is his father even more powerful? and his brother Cooler? -oh and remember that there's a Super Saiyan only once every 1000 years! -but if Goku, Vegeta and Piccolo in the Frieza saga shouted "i've reached the limit of my strength!" how do they become even stronger later? -why does Bulma get on Kami's palace, where no man-made machine can arrive, with a helicopter-thing, to bring suits to Goku, Vegeta and the others? Does the law simply lose its value once in Z, or that helicopter was actually a Gundam? Or maybe it was the EVA-00 and the pilot was Rei disguised as Bulma? -Mr Popo maintains that "not even God can revive people". then how can he breath life into things and even create the Dragon, who can easily resurrect people, recreate planets, and generate panties? -in the hyperbolic time chamber only two people can enter per time, but, since nobody cares, Majin buu goes in there with Piccolo and two kids. maybe there's a free entry ticket for kids? -why do enemies arrive ordered by power level, from the most shitty to the most powerful? what would have happened if Majin Buu had arrived at the times of Pilaf? -how does the moon continuosly reappear after all the times it's been destroyed to make saiyans return normal? and mostly... why does the moon's distruction not affect earth? -why does Baba allow Goku to return on Earth for the world tournament? how can she have the power to do that when not even Kaioshin and Kami together couldn't? -how the fock does a locator with only one button work? and it can do anything only by pushing said button! does it read minds and understand if who is pressing wants more zoom, less zoom, turn it on, off, order a coffe or tell Roshi to f* off? -why does Goku use Genkidama only at the end of the battle?...why does not he spare us hours and hours of fighting with various flashbacks and plot twists? However, much of this is from the anime, which creates plot holes not seen in the Manga, which is the source material. I've just read through dragonball and am working back through dbz and found that the few plot holes I've notices were actually explained rather well. Also, most of this that you have are broken laws of physics which are less plot holes and moreso artistic lisence taken by the animators. -if it's true that only Frieza's race can survive in the open space, for what obscure reason also Bardock, Broly, his father, Nappa and Vegeta fly around like a shuttle without dying? It is never said that Saiyans can't survive in space and from what I can remember this is never an issue in the manga. -about that: remember when in DB Goku carries the rabbit and his henchmen on the moon using the magic staff? how the heck did he surpass earth's atmosphere without dying? and why did that only take two seconds when to get to Kami's palace (which is still inside the atmosphere) took him 148 episodes? Again, this is an anime inconsistancy, not related to the original source. -but if before Goku's arrival, Frieza was the most powerful being in the universe, why is his father even more powerful? and his brother Cooler? They always say "I'm the strongest in the universe" because they probably think they are. Cooler was not in the manga. King Cold was never really stated to be stronger than Frieza, though it is implied. -oh and remember that there's a Super Saiyan only once every 1000 years! That was the legend, nothing saying that a thousand year old legend from a destroyed planet is 100% accurate. It would have been that it was just a long time between when a saiyan was born that ended up becoming a super saiyan and they just estimated 1000 years. The whole 1/2 saiyan/earthling thing had never been done before. -but if Goku, Vegeta and Piccolo in the Frieza saga shouted "i've reached the limit of my strength!" how do they become even stronger later? Those instances seem more like "I've reached the limit of what I can do now", not necessarily that they can't get stronger with training -why does Bulma get on Kami's palace, where no man-made machine can arrive, with a helicopter-thing, to bring suits to Goku, Vegeta and the others? The power of the Dragons is a big question. The earth dragon, Shenlong(or Shenron in the Japanese spelling) often says that he cannot grant a wish that is beyond the power of his maker. However, this is not really clear. My theory is that it relates not the abilities of the maker, but the inherent power of the maker. Kami may have sufficient POWER to resurrect the dead, yet not have the capacity or ability to do so. This could be because he never learned a way to do it, or just because he is forbidden to be able to, as governed by the underworld and King Yemma. As shown in the Buu saga, Goku, Gohan and Vegeta had more than enough power needed to destroy a planet, as read by Babidi's meter, but they never did. As far as creating the Dragon, that is an ability given to specific Nameks who reach a certain power and wisdom level. -in the hyperbolic time chamber only two people can enter per time, but, since nobody cares, Majin buu goes in there with Piccolo and two kids. maybe there's a free entry ticket for kids? That one I'm not sure about, as I haven't gotten to the time chamber in the manga, I'm not sure if that limit really exists. -why do enemies arrive ordered by power level, from the most shitty to the most powerful? what would have happened if Majin Buu had arrived at the times of Pilaf? This is simply a storytelling device. This isn't specific to Dragonball either. For storytelling there are some minute pieces of logic that go out the window in order to tell a story. If you just tell a random story with no deviations from logic then the story would end quickly and not be any good. In other words, short answer is "to advance the story". -how does the moon continuosly reappear after all the times it's been destroyed to make saiyans return normal? and mostly... why does the moon's distruction not affect earth? Ok, here's the chronology of the moon, during the 21st budokai (the 1st one in DB) Roshi destroyed it. Before the 23rd budokai (when Goku face piccolo) Goku trained with Kami. Kami permanently removed Goku's tail so he could (and did) create a new moon. While training Gohan to fight the saiyans Piccolo destroyed this new moon. That's it. The only other time we see an Ape is Vegeta, but he creates an energy ball to simulate the green radiation from the full moon. In the anime there is an additional time when Gohan changes during Picollo's training, which is supposedly from a holographic projection from the ship Goku arrived in as a baby. -why does Baba allow Goku to return on Earth for the world tournament? how can she have the power to do that when not even Kaioshin and Kami together couldn't? She didn't return him to life, she allowed him to remain on earth for a day, though he is still dead. This is explained in full in the Baba saga in Dragonball. She has the ability to travel between the world of the living and the dead (as Kami also does). She also has the ability to return dead fighters to the earth to fight in her tournaments. -how the fock does a locator with only one button work? and it can do anything only by pushing said button! does it read minds and understand if who is pressing wants more zoom, less zoom, turn it on, off, order a coffe or tell Roshi to f*** off? Not sure about this one. It's capsule corp. tech, who knows. -why does Goku use Genkidama only at the end of the battle?...why does not he spare us hours and hours of fighting with various flashbacks and plot twists? Well, this is also more an anime thing than manga, but the answer for this is the same as the one about villains arriving in specific order. It's a storytelling device.
