Dear creature (since I'm not sure if you're a human or a monster or an animal or something pretending to be another),

I throw my arms as a symbol of "thankfulness" for visiting this oasis. But just so I know who's specifically knocking at our oasis's front door, do you mind if you register or log in?

You're currently wandering outside our oasis as a ghost. This means your face is unrecognizable and you are limited to certain areas of our oasis and there are some abilities you don't possess. If you become one of us, you'll be able to access monster-only sections, and use many monster-only features such as having a slimy profile, sending monsterosas letters, and a lot more. Monsterification is simple, fast, and completely free.

Do you have what it takes to become a monster?

If you're already a monster here then please slobiverate your details below in order to access all the features you deserve: (Plus, you'll get rid of this annoying reminder.)

Because it's world news.:

Today is August 8, 2008 (AKA 8/8/08 ^^)- the Beijing Olympics have begun.

Whoop-de-doo.

Sorry, I'm not being very enthusiastic as I hate sports, and well... Let's just say that the sports section always is immediately thrown away when I get the paper. The little earthquake survivor trailing behind Yao Ming was adorable (bless his [the kid's] heart! ), though.

I'm not usually a big sports person either, but I find the Olympics interesting regardless. I really like seeing all the athletes from the other countries competing against each other - truly the best in the world, and they've worked for it! It breaks my heart when they get injured before or during their event, though :(

There are a lot of ugly things going on behind the scenes of the Olympics politically, and I'm not entirely happy with how China handled things (it really bugs me that the stadium's so close to the Forbidden City), but what can you do? Nobody's perfect...I just wish China'd been a little more honest.

Hopefully you'll come to appreciate the Olympics in time :)
