Dear creature (since I'm not sure if you're a human or a monster or an animal or something pretending to be another),

I throw my arms as a symbol of "thankfulness" for visiting this oasis. But just so I know who's specifically knocking at our oasis's front door, do you mind if you register or log in?

You're currently wandering outside our oasis as a ghost. This means your face is unrecognizable and you are limited to certain areas of our oasis and there are some abilities you don't possess. If you become one of us, you'll be able to access monster-only sections, and use many monster-only features such as having a slimy profile, sending monsterosas letters, and a lot more. Monsterification is simple, fast, and completely free.

Do you have what it takes to become a monster?

If you're already a monster here then please slobiverate your details below in order to access all the features you deserve: (Plus, you'll get rid of this annoying reminder.)

I have this big Ant-phobia. Which led to my big oatmeal phobia too.

I was about seven or eight, and because my sister and I kept eating at the bedroom my mom let me read this article about ants and the pretty scary things they could do to people when they get inside your brain and all...

That oatmeal thing had little to do with the ant article, but I was about to get a big spoonful of oatmeal when I saw a dead ant in it. I've been avoiding oatmeal since then.
Oh no, I'm having moth infestation flashbacks. ><

I never liked oatmeal anyway, but that dead ant thing still made me vomit in my mouth a little bit when I read it.

I usually don't mind if my drink or food contains dead ants or something. Normally, whenever I see dead ants on my food/drink, I remove them before eating/drinking the food/drink.

I don't think I will mind if I ate a few dead ants or something accidentally.

Am I normal?

Could be worse, I guess. When bugs are normally eaten in cultures that do eat them, though, they at least clean them off. Who knows if that cricket that landed in your drink was covered in pesticides or something?

Either that or you have a stomach of iron.

Ah well, it it was a cricket, it's a different story.

I only do that for (normal) black ants, those who don't bite. I still try my best to remove them from my food before eating it though.

I've heard of people buying crickets from pet shop stores (y'know, those are intended for pet food but are alive) and then cooking and eating them at home. EEEWWW!!!

My dad once ate moth larva while eating Chips Ahoy! cookies. He vomited after seeing a half eaten one wiggle on the half eaten cookie.

Ooh, that is terrible, Kady.

The closest an ant has ever gotten to me is on my head. It was a big red one, the one usually found on mango trees and all. I was at school. It was January...12:37 PM. Bad memory.

*gives you bag*

It got worse, but I'll spare you the details. It happened shortly after we moved out of the big shanty on Big Shanty Road, when we had a moth infestation. We also had a yellow jacket infestation in the children's room around the same time as well.

Oh, and I would freak out if I saw an ant on my head, Cezille. Feet was scary enough, and I'm used to bites on my arms from flying ants, but dang, my head?

What happens in a yellow jacket infestation, Kady?

(One last thing on that ant... It fell on my uniform too and I made a clown of myself in public, screaming and all...)

First off, for anyone unfamiliar with what the heck a yellow jacket is, here's the Wikipedia page.

Yellow jackets normally make nests underground; I've seen them fly in and out of lawns before. My dad and brother have also been stung by them before because they disturbed nests while mowing the lawn. Pretty much, they attack a lot like other wasps and bees since, y'know, they're related to them.

For some strange reason, this yellow jacket nest was built above ground on the ceiling of the alcove in that room. At first, they only came out and flew and buzzed in the room during the day, but never at night. Therefore, we slept in there without the fear of being stung, but nothing else (my sister and I even resorted to making organized piles of our clothes outside of the room so that we could change in and out in the guest bathroom nearby). One day, they started attacking the bed at night; we eventually had to sleep in the living room on the couches and mattresses.

The last night we had the infestation, I had to get into the room to get something that was only in that room. I turn on the light, the fan goes on, and the jackets go crazy. They start buzzing and swarming the fan. My dad finally bought a bug bomb that killed the entire colony after I showed him the fan thing. Dead jackets littered the room. The few that were alive were dying.

I stayed in the living room through the end of the summer.
