Image edited by midori Dear creature (since I'm not sure if you're a human or a monster or an animal or something pretending to be another), I throw my arms as a symbol of "thankfulness" for visiting this oasis. But just so I know who's specifically knocking at our oasis's front door, do you mind if you register or log in? You're currently wandering outside our oasis as a ghost. This means your face is unrecognizable and you are limited to certain areas of our oasis and there are some abilities you don't possess. If you become one of us, you'll be able to access monster-only sections, and use many monster-only features such as having a slimy profile, sending monsterosas letters, and a lot more. Monsterification is simple, fast, and completely free. Do you have what it takes to become a monster? ![]() If you're already a monster here then please slobiverate your details below in order to access all the features you deserve: (Plus, you'll get rid of this annoying reminder.) |

Post any news articles that you find either weird or funny in some way here. Preferably, post true news stories, not satirical articles like those from "The Onion." (CNN.com, Snopes, Yahoo!, and other internet service homepages are good sources.) I'll start with a couple of my own: Sorry, wrong number! Now what would happen if some dog decided that the balls were chew toys? MANHOLES GO KABLOOEY AND START FIRES |

0_0 to the wrong number article. Are these accepted? They're more on blunders though but they were actually published. GMA died… oops, we meant Cory! Coffin of Gloria Arroyo |

The "wrong number" one was the result of a blooper, so I would believe those count as well. I remember CNN having a glitch were somehow they were having obituaries for not-dead-yet famous people. Either way, gaffs like that are usually a bit giggle-worthy. |

Today, sometimes crazy people do crazy thing now. The first one was kinda bad, but I heard a much worse than that news. The Second one was pretty genuine to hide in a can. |

Uh...woah, how did the second one happened? Did a person from the soda manufacturing company did it or something? About the first one, sad. But yeah, like Patrick, I've seen worse. I just remembered this: Man killed because of the song "Nobody." I'm guessing you have also heard of this, Patrick. |

WTF on that article, Bryan... 0_0 And uh, about the sentence "We all know that the hit song, Nobody by the Wonder Girls is a global phenomenon." That is definitely a fallacy that would earn the author major pwnage by my junior English teacher. I certainly don't know who the Wonder Girls are. The Indigo Girls, yes, the Spice Girls, yes, heck, even the Miracle Girls, yes, but even if I've somehow heard that song (don't think I have), definitely not the Wonder Girls. Therefore, the first part of that sentence = FALSE. |

Then the author's not researching much. I think it's just a hit in some of the places in Asia. But yeah, I may be wrong. |

Yep, that would definitely explain why I've never heard of it. Thanks. I don't think it's a lack of research, but just assumptions. Y'know, like all teen boys play Halo and fantasize about screwing Megan Fox because they're teen boys. Pop and entertainment mag and newsines do that type of thing a lot. I read them a lot too, but that type of statement still annoys me a little. A lot of Seventeen's online game section has recently been taken over with Twilight themed games to tie in with "New Moon," including a "Is Edward or Jacob your guy" quiz because, more or less, all the girls like either according to the mag. I can guarantee you without taking the quiz I prefer Jacob (his character sucks less). Even then, I think I would rather choose Pyramid Head for the lulz. At least he would help me lose more weight by trying to get the hell away from him. This is coming from a member of the late end of Twilight's target audience. I was planning on just responding, but I also found this on the headlines section of my mom's homepage while checking for any college replies: OMG those poor children! |
