Dear creature (since I'm not sure if you're a human or a monster or an animal or something pretending to be another),

I throw my arms as a symbol of "thankfulness" for visiting this oasis. But just so I know who's specifically knocking at our oasis's front door, do you mind if you register or log in?

You're currently wandering outside our oasis as a ghost. This means your face is unrecognizable and you are limited to certain areas of our oasis and there are some abilities you don't possess. If you become one of us, you'll be able to access monster-only sections, and use many monster-only features such as having a slimy profile, sending monsterosas letters, and a lot more. Monsterification is simple, fast, and completely free.

Do you have what it takes to become a monster?

SAN DIEGO – A federal judge issued a worldwide injunction Tuesday stopping enforcement of the "don't ask, don't tell" policy, ending the military's 17-year-old ban on openly gay troops.

U.S. District Judge Virginia Phillips' landmark ruling was widely cheered by gay rights organizations that credited her with getting accomplished what President Obama and Washington politics could not

"This order from Judge Phillips is another historic and courageous step in the right direction, a step that Congress has been noticeably slow in taking," said Alexander Nicholson, executive director of Servicemembers United, the nation's largest organization of gay and lesbian troops and veterans.

He was the sole named veteran plaintiff in the case along with the Log Cabin Republicans, a gay rights organization that filed the lawsuit in 2004 to stop the ban's enforcement.

U.S. Department of Justice attorneys have 60 days to appeal. Legal experts say the department is under no legal obligation to do so and could let Phillips' ruling stand.

Thanks for the news. Before reading this, I didn't know that Philippines also allow gays in the military. Well, I hope it sticks.

Apparently, it's really recent, like, 2004-ish. A lot of the other countries I listed also legalized openly gay troops within the past two years. I find this totally ironic, if you've ever looked up military hazing. Oh, and glory holes. More on that in the spoiler.

I'm talking about Numbuh Four here, and I'm not talking about the Aussie kid in Codename: Kids Next Door.

No, because the military was discharging even their best soldiers because of their orientation, and yet so much gay behavior even among straight soldiers was allowed to an extent (e.g. kissing the royal belly, glory holes, etc.).

It's been on the news all day.

The Senate has voted to repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" for good. All that needs to be done now is have Obama sign the repeal into law. This should be during very early January 2011.

ALL HAIL OBAMA! :notworthy:

IT'S TIME TO PAR-TAY!

...Or not. But I thought it was great news, even though I'm not too big into the army. I would definitely have PTSD if I were enlisted. My mental condition is waaaayyy too fragile. XD
