Dear creature (since I'm not sure if you're a human or a monster or an animal or something pretending to be another),

I throw my arms as a symbol of "thankfulness" for visiting this oasis. But just so I know who's specifically knocking at our oasis's front door, do you mind if you register or log in?

You're currently wandering outside our oasis as a ghost. This means your face is unrecognizable and you are limited to certain areas of our oasis and there are some abilities you don't possess. If you become one of us, you'll be able to access monster-only sections, and use many monster-only features such as having a slimy profile, sending monsterosas letters, and a lot more. Monsterification is simple, fast, and completely free.

Do you have what it takes to become a monster?

If you're already a monster here then please slobiverate your details below in order to access all the features you deserve: (Plus, you'll get rid of this annoying reminder.)

On her blog "Careful Confessions", 15-year-old book-lover Michelle Teoh talks about her old obsession (What else? Monster Allergy of course!) and she's not afraid to say she LOVES it.

From her "Tell The Sun Don't Fall" post (click the link to see a picture of her awesome MA comics collection):

Tell The Sun Don't Fall

I don't think I've ever told anyone about my obsession with Monster Allergy. This obsession started when I was thirteen, and I went on a frenzy, buying the comics in threes since Popular had discounts. I think I stopped until Issue #22, because it wore off. Recently, there's this hype where people are changing their Facebook/Tumblr profile pictures to a cartoon they love and I remembered my MA obsession, and I've begun rereading it and everything I used to love is coming back, together with the regrets of stopping halfway and not continuing until the very last issue. I still love them a lot, and it's pretty much like reliving my childhood once again. Or tween years, since I was thirteen.

From her "These Soles Could Fight The Ocean Wave" post:

These Soles Could Fight The Ocean Wave

...I've also finished rereading all my Monster Allergy comics. I only have till Issue #21, and I really do need the rest. It's a good thing the comics end at Issue #29, which means I'm not far off. I've asked Aunty Wendy to search for the remaining issues (#22- #29) in Singapore, and I hope she finds them, which would be a fantastic Christmas present.

So what I am still a kid.

Wow! Hooray for Michelle Teoh!

Yeah, I agree! And it looks like she's been taking care of it. My collection lacks six covers.

I had a huge Sabrina the Teenage Witch comic book collection when I was younger. My brother used one of the issues's covers as a rag when he had bloody noses. ;_;

And ironically, it's the only one that still has its cover, because Gaby would tear them up every time she read them.

(That's right, he shoved the cover against his face. He didn't even use it as a RAG by tearing it out. I was too disgusted at eight to touch that issue after that. Still disgusted at nineteen too, though I have opened it with gloves since then.
