They had a few lists that went out recently, over the past few years or so, and they focused mainly on Classic Rock, but threw in a few hip hoppers to make everyone feel welcome. Anyway, how do you think of some of these?

I think that they're decent, but as the RS does many times, they think they're own tastes are about a million miles ahead of our own, but they're the professionals. I will release my own top 100 lists for songs and albums, and it'll be similar, but they left out so many great albums that could be arguably top 100 albums. As well as songs, I don't recall seeing one of the first great Acid Rock songs, Psychotic Reaction on that list anywhere. So, what's YOUR take?

Way too biased, 70% of the music in there is usually American. Sorry, but the British just make way better music, simple as that.

I couldn't agree with you more, but the Beatles made the list more than anyone on all of those except the guitar songs. Also, Eric Clapton should be #2 behind Jimi Hendrix, as good as he is, Duane Allman is top 10, but #5 at best. But yeah, what's with "Like A Rolling Stone" being the number one song? Stairway To Heaven, the greatest song of all time, is back in the 30's somewhere, like 32, what the hell is that all about? Not sure, but it's not cool with me at all. And for artists, I see Led Zeppelin outside the top 5, that's not sitting well either.

Too bad I think the Beatles are overrated. >_>
But yeah, I agree on the rest. Needs more Led Zeppelin(though I don't think Stairway is the best song ever), I also lack Child in Time, Alive, MOTHERLOVING JEFF BUCKLEY, and others. And those are just the "pop" songs I like, let's shut up about the 20-minute prog epics I deem the best songs created by mankind, ever.
