i want to refinish my crosslaces, actually i need to. does anybody here have any experiance doing this. ive read the stickies on tgo about it. but its always better for someone thats already done it, to help you. so any takers? |

I do. I still havent painted them yet. I jsut followed the write up on TGO and this other site loosely. I applied some Aircraft Stripper and let it sit. Then, blasted it off. Then took a wire wheel to the spokes to clean the rest of the paint off. I still need to polish the lip before I paint the spokes. |

Use a good stripper, I used some other type of stripper and it just didnt work, i was of course practicing on some 15" firebird rims but still... |

Yup, I did my Irocs....aircraft stripper, than went to town on it with sandpaper. I probably went through every grit up to 600, I let them go to crap again though

Im about ready to paint my GTA wheels, but I'm nervous about spraying them myself as I'm not entirely too sure on how to approach them with the spray can. I'm worried about between the spokes. |

im not sure what powder coating cost, but it might be worth it. it will never fade ot chip of anything. |

get them sandblasted much easier....and sam as for the rattle can...stay far away and move with swager when you spray...ive painted things with rattle cans that look better then stuff ppl do with ral paint guns....you take your time....i was actually going to paint my snypers but i think im gonna get the powdercoated....70 bux a pop |
