i have an 84 z28 i found this on craigslist its off a 93 transam 10 bolt posi rear with disc brakes and 4:10 gears $350 if bought will it be a complete take mine out and put this one in or will there have to be some modification? |

The stock 93 TA rear is 4" longer overall... You would need new wheels to fit inside your wheel wells. It seems like a alright deal otherwise though. |

i think i'll just pass my uncle said hes gonna weld my spiders up to make it posi free vs $350...i choose free im gonna steal the leather seats from it tho |

Don't weld the diff. It'll be too harsh for the road. While making turns you'll have the inner tire chirping and shit. Go with a limited slip instead. |

or another option is like what i have.. a detroit locker..it disengages around turns... kinda clanks pretty loudly though once it engages again, but i can live with that.. |

My brother got his Locker rear with axels and 3.42 gears off of ebay for $300. Works like a charm...no clicking though..and it is a confirmed locker. Man that was the best money spent on his car to date. |

no clicking eh?? that's odd.. i actually have a detroit "soft" locker in my diff.. and it's supposed to be best and the quietest locker out there..but it still clanks and clicks... |
