I am considering going through with lemon law proceedings for my 2007 Trailblazer SS, it has a starting issue it has been to the dealer 4 times for the same thing and once because they wrecked my AC and then blamed me when they had the truck for a week 1st time they said ignition switch second time battery third time they had it for a week and said we dont know what it is you have to take it back and wait for it to happen again, so it happened again I just got the car back this time it was the starter. It could have been the starter all along. Im thinking they should have known that. anyway I have a 1 year old and I am nervous about them getting stuck we no longer trust the car and GMs service people have been pretty bad. I looked into having GM purchase my truck back. A district manager called because I complained and they basically told me to get lost. I explained to him I have spent 100,000 on GM products since 04 and I am a GM fanatic, and that I no longer trust the truck. They didnt even offer me a free oil change they could care less about losing me as a customer. Im just nervous my wife and Little Mike are going to get stuck in a dangerous suituation. any one have an idea if Lemon law is a worthwhile thing? I would have been happy with a real good deal on a new truck or at least a reach around sorry for the long post, I no longer wonder why they are in the shape they are in. |

Sorry but did you say you would have been happy with a reach around? Seriously though..was this district manager from the dealerships? Or from the actual GM company? I think you might have more pull calling the company itself

Well, sad to say it but lemon law claims against GM are not that uncommon and you're not the only one being treated like crap. I work as an accountant for a rental car company and I have had to help 2 customers this week alone get information they needed because they were pursuing lemon law claims against GM. Both bought brand new Cadillac Escalades and both had been treated like crap by their dealership. They had to complain and complain until the dealer finally caved in and even then it's been an uphill battle for them. In this case, the dealer promised to pay for a rental car for their customer and they ended up never paying. Unfortunately, incompetence mixed with the low morale that they certainly have right now isn't helping the situation at all. BTW, the two customers I helped both switched over to Nissan. One of the customers had been a GM customer for over 30 years. Sad shame. |

I looked into the lemon laws in NY and now I know why GM offered nothing my truck has 24k the limit is 18 k they knew i would lose in the proceedings, just any kind of offer would have been nice. The 2010 Camaro i was definately getting is now up in the air, that chalenger is pretty nice. Its a shame they still even after all thats gone on dont get it |

I have returned a Chevy under the lemon law and the experience sucked. However my car did over the required 18,000 mile limit. I just had to prove the problem was there before the car hit milage limit and they never fixed it. Overall the experience was positive and that is how I got my 1990 Covette, Z28, RS. Well it started off as a vette and after I called GEICO we ended up with an RS. Ignore the milage limit and file. They will try to settle with you and not go to a hearing. They do not want those negative numbers on their yearyl customer satisfaction reports. |
