Ok so if you are adding this just because it looks kool then ok.... But if you are looking for the safty features because you are trying to get some real power.... THEN HELLLLLS NO! They weld them for a reason. |

Actually i was not considering this for my car at all..hahha..no way... plus i dont even think they make it for our cars yet... I just wanted to get ur guys take on this...my take is that i wouldn't trust my life to a couple of bolts... ![]() oh and BTW... you spelled KEWL wrong..

They do indeed make these for our cars and I am pretty sure they have all the certifications. I also did some research on this topic because I was considering this for our cars and the bolts that are used are auctually just as strong as a weld if not stronger in certain cases. I forget what a grade 8.8 bolt is rated to, but it is a very high number. I decided that it isnt worth it for me to bolt in cause it is almost just as much work. You still need to fabricate and drill alot, as well as make lower and upper plates and all. |

Yeah Dennis..i agreee since you still have to do all that work you might as well get the cage welded in there...I might do a cage next year..gotta see |

my friend with the blue procharged trans am form belmont has a bolt in cage...works wonders....but he aint worried about being certified...he barelly drives it....fits nice tho...i was considering it....but im jus gonna have perry make me a custom one.... |
