So i bumped into this torque arm..supposedly it is a shortened torque arm that "de-couples" when braking..in laymans terms.. whenever you have a shortened arm and you brake , supposedly there is alot of wheelhop..but the sliding link on this one takes care of that by moving the instant center back and forth...

Anybody venture in buying this? there is some fab work to be done though...it also weighs ALOT less than the umi or spohn stuff..

I think you can always do that down the road, like Alex said, money might be better spent on something else.

they are saying that the shorter torque arms get the wheelhop... the spohn and umi are much bigger than this one....this looks like half that size..the theory is when you have a real short torque arm the instant center gets pushed way back which results in having better anti squat and more tire bite...but if the torque arm is really really short when you break it will hop the rearend...so they correct that by having that extendable link...

I do agree though that it aint worth the money...I just thought i'd throw this out there..i was bored at work..

oh and Ash..I'm pretty much done with my suspension..I spent nearly 5 grand on all that crap :bang: ..lol...my next suspension mod would be backhalving it, but i havent breathed in enough exhaust fumes yet to go that route.. :smokingdope:
