I originally was looking at 2nd gens for my first car, but I fell in love with a thirdgen that my dad found in the papers. I bought it, fixed it up, got a thirdgen with a 350 and a 5 speed so i sold my first one, drove that one till it died and bought the one I have been building for a while now. |

He comes the old jokes. I was 13 or 14 when these came out. Always loved Camaros and was in the process of buying a '67 RS when the ahole traded it for a '73 Caprice. Go up a few years I think it was 1987 or 1988 and my brand new chevy was always in the dealship getting fixed . The owner of Major Chevy told me he was tired of paying for a rental car for me so go across the street to the used car lot and pick out a car and I will get it for cost .Anyway (Sam you will like this) I pick out a 1985 Supra in White. Unfourtunalty at the same time there was a couple in the office signing the papers on the sale of that car. So my girlfriend (now ex-wife) and I looked across the lot and there we saw a mint 1983 Berlinetta 'nough said. Well another year goes buy and the same owner tells me to file a lemon law claim on the POS Chevy I had. So I did and I ordered my 1990 Corvette. Called GEICO for my insurnace then went and picked up my brand new 6 cylinder RS (traded in the Camaro too). Had that car for 5 years and she was stolen. Now it is 2007 or 2008 and I place an order for the new Camaro that is coming out in 2008. Get a call from the dealer that it was not coming out and he had to cancel my order. Depressed and cash in hand my buddy suggests that I pick up a Camaro like the one I use to have. So the search began. Except this time I wanted a 1991 or 1992 Red Z28. Searching the internet I found this beautiful 1991 Black Z in Shipensburg PA. And you all know the rest. |

My thidgen was my first car, I bought it from my friend. The reason I bought it was so i had a car to get around in so i can find myself a 1969 camaro.... After months of searching and looking at tons of 69's I came to the conclusion that it's almost impossible to spend a reasonable amount of money on a clean 69 .... Then my friend who sold me the car , which i knew my whole life , ends up buying a motorcycle and got into an accident and got killed, he died at 23 years old...I then vowed to build the crap out of this camaro, sort of like a commemorative to him.. |

Before coming to the US from the Philippines, I used to watch Knight Rider. I think it was how I learned how to speak English. Anyway, fast forward to 1987, I am fresh off the plane, walking to my dad's Thunderbird at the airport, and saw a black Trans Am parked there and thought to myself, I will have KITT one day. There's a pic of me in the 3nd or 4th grade standing next to a Gunmetal Grey 91 Firebird Formula. Then when I was 18, my mom took me out to Connecticut and surprised me. I knocked on this house's door, and the guy comes out, and goes "oh hey, hang on, let me pull it out." And my Gunmetal Grey 91 GTA pulled out of the garage with 37,500 miles on it. I don't think I will ever get rid of this car. |

i ask but i never told my story really lol a great friend of mine who i call my family has a 95 impala SS (PUNISSHER) that i fell in love with 400hp at the wheels who wouldnt. so last year i was in search of a b-body couldnt find a affordable one to save my life so i searched for camaros or trans am. since i am a huge knight rider fan i was hell bent on getting a f-body i found my in need of paint and rust free 84 z28 on ebay in plant city florida. had a rebuilt 305 from a truck with 350 heads from a iroc with a comp cam and rebuilt 10' rear. i flew to florida with the wife and picked it up and was terrified that i would be left in the back woods of poedonk lol she didnt fail me. 20hrs later we got to NY safely and she is being a pain in the ass but i love the car to death. the wife is scared of it but she tells me not to sell everytime i get pissed or see another potential v8. |

Shit you're making me feel old..I remember when these cars were new too, I remember like it was yesterday, walking down the street and seeing brand new 80's thirdgens and brand new 80's mustangs driving around.. speaking of show rooms...I also remember going into the dealer and seeing the first fourth gen and thinking to myself.."WOW these cars are so futuristic" ..it's weird tho, in high school alot of people were sporting the g-bodies alot also... you would see all the "cool" kids driving those cutlass' with the t-tops and wearing the gold chains...shit I feel old..

We may be young but that don't make us like muscle cars any less haha So anyway, i got mine because my parents didnt buy a new car until 1998 our family cars growing up were my moms camaro and my dad's 66 Chevelle. I always liked thirdgen camaros and them in general, so when it came time to buy a car I though this to myself... 1st Gen Camaro/Firebirds...love them, can't afford or can afford one that needs too much 2nd Gen Camaro - hate them, Firebirds- love them, can't afford the years i want (only 76-78) there are tons of TT/A's, we had an 81, I didn't like it 3rd Gen Camaro - love them, can afford, Firebird, don't like the bodylines as much 4th gen, Camaro/Firebird - some around the same price or higher than a 3G, but I hate them all except WS6, which i actually CAN'T afford So i thought this all over and was driving up Bear Mountain one day and saw this on the side of the road... ![]() spent an hour there looking it up and down, left a deposit next time I went and bought it third time. I love the history and body lines of my car, I wouldn't ask for anything other than it. |
