My car is out for paint and I want to get a fitted cover before she comes home next week.

I am going to store her inside the garage in the winter

Wolf covers has a Noah series. Great cover has pockets for mirrors and is made for our car so they compensate the high spoiler. When I get to a computer I will post a link

This is the one I had before wife ripped it

:iagree:
Dont cover it for at least 2-3 months. Just keep it clean as possible. Wax after about 6-7 weeks. Then keep polishing and waxing. When paint cures it shrinks. So be sure it dosent sit dirty. Youll have blemishes that will not come out. So the first 6-8 weeks try and not drive to much, and do some soapy water washes. Then use a good carnuba wax when ready.

1 more thing. Get GOOD car wash stuff like, mothers or meguirs soap, and microfiber towels for washing and drying. Swirls are horrible with new black paint. So no more half ass car washes if u want the new finish to look good and last.

Ed remember a cover is only good for long term storage. You must ensure the car is clean before you put on the cover or you are going to scratch the crap out of it. Teust me I know.

I would suggest instead of a cover get a car port.

The above link is for the Wolf Noah Custom fit cover.

Yah, I covered my car while I was at college with a universal car cover, i forget the brand but it wasnt really all that clean, I was in a rush and just put it on. The car got the shit scratched out of it. Not deep, but not fun to get the scratches out of.

dont even think about covering a fresh paintjob, ever, ill smack ya in the back of the head for that, it needs to breathe for at least 2 months...in the sun would be best and if you have a chance when your home leave the garage door open let air circulate around the car, you can wax it and wash it all you want, paint now a days doesnt need to wait to be waxed since they are going to wet sand your car and polish glaze and wax your car anyway at the shop....and dont push on the paint with your fingers for a week or so, it will leave your prints in the paint....

this is all afcourse if they didnt bake the car after it was painted, but you still should fallow what i said....the clear coat dries as a chamical reaction in new paints nowadays and not time wise and it locks in about little after 2 months...and since its black it will dry up and dull back so after this time you will need to have the car repolished with a buffer ....and post some pics when it comes back.....i wont bust your ballz to much....
