Well, it's not really Spohn, it's made by Prothane but Spohn swears up and down that this mount has the correct installed height so as to not change the pinion angle and cause vibration at speed like the Energy Suspension mount does. The swap was straighforward but a real pain on my car as it had large amounts of the original undercoating still applied. Also, using hand tools, those bolts are extremely hard to break free. A few notes on the mount... 89-92 did not have a shim between the mount and the chassis so I left out the shim (basically a flat washer). Also, the hole in the transmission crossmember has to be slightly enlarged to let the stud from the mount go through. The stud is bigger than stock. I took the car out at 1AM last night after finishing and she feels a hell of a lot better. That feeling that something is loose on the bottom is gone and there was no vibration at all. It also solved my problem of my tranny cable always coming out of adjustment. Not really a big surprise there, when I took my mount out, it had broken in half. Huge thumbs up to Spohn's mount. |

are your motor mounts fine? cause sometimes what happens is..the motor mounts are bad and whenever the motor torques over it puts all the stress on the tranny mount and messes it up.. |

How would I be able to tell Manny? The motor doesn't really twist when I rev it... I can't shake it by hand, and I poked around the mounts and the rubber still seems solid but...

yeah usually if you power brake it, you can see ur motor move around..if it doesn't and the mounts look good then you'll be ok.. |
