every time you take a fast turn u run the risk of losing it...you also notice when you make a turn one tire will be screeching..tires need to spin at different speeds when turning...

not recommended for street use..although i know a few people that use them on the street..

the pros are..good for straight away launches..

i have a detroit softlocker.. i love that thing..it is fully locked when going straight and when you make a turn it disengages..clanks a little though when it re-engages... but you also have to be careful not to go too fast on turns with that too..

yea but you better buy a but load of spare spider gears and axles because they dont last long when you weld them. plus a good towing policy

Never really seen it done on Third Gens being that finding a Limited Slip Rear is fairly easy. I see a lot of 240sx guys do that for the time being until they upgrade to an LSD. Just sucks if the car is your only car and you gotta deal with one tire hopping and chirping at turns.

aaahhh the good ole spider gear welding trick...you should try this trick..take some gear oil out of the rear, and rev the shit out of your car when you drive...sooner or later the spider gears will weld themselves together

That is 100% true. It happened to me on my 92 Firebird when I had a 350 with a 5 speed and a 3.73 posi... the tires one day just started hopping around turns... make sure you have fluid in your rear differential. Service it if it has never been serviced.
