I would stay away just for the fact that it is a non-overdrive transmission... you said it yourself, this is a street car, street cars generally have overdrive. For $1600 might as well save up some more and go with the T56 swap. |

>It's almost a straight swap...as long as you have all the parts { bellhousing, pedals, clutch hydraulic unit etc. )..As for the T-10..there were two: the regular T-10 and the Super T-10. They're both stronger than the T-5...in fact, many guys used the super T-10 for their drag cars in the 70's. The ST-10 is much stronger than the regular T-10 and you want the one with an iron case...which is much stronger than the common aluminum case one. It's a good trannie if you don't do a lot of highway driving and want to go to the track now and then. >$1600 is a lot for that trannie, though. Will they install it too for that?...the T-56 would be a better choice! Right again, Deni! |
350, carb, headers, side exhaust, T-5, aluminum ds, Baer discs, Bilsteins, tubular a-arms, tubular torque arm, adjustable track bar and control arms. | |
