The latest Chevy High Performance Mag. has a great article on a drag 3rd Gen with a fiberglass front end. The numbers are incredible: Nose: 20lbs.!; hood: 16lbs.; doors are 10lbs each!; Dash: 4lbs.!

That's a 25.5 chasis car, which means the cage is the frame and the body is just there for looks, hence why you can use fiberglass pannels,

Stan, if your really gune-ho on weight dropping you could probably shead at least 400lb's off your car by removing all contents in the trunk, carpet, interior plastics, rear seat, run a ligher wheel w/no spacers, lexan rear window, 2-piece rotors w/aluminum hats, etc. I take it your car is your daily driver when needed so i'm assuming you want some level of crash protection god forbid.

:blink: already lol i know people who had to weight 30 something years for race weight fiberglass No-Go shells. And there not even easy to get, I know one place that makes them and there not all that informative on there website. Now, what is it, a year? since the 5th gens, hit the streets? fcuking camaros have all the fun. :banplz:
