Spade with all the rust and everything and a few other things my total for everything was 3500

when he gave me the break down price wise I called around to different shops for a few days and everyone was asking for pretty much the same amount of money so seen as how he had the car there and apart i said Fcuk it and just let him take care of everything

but all in all i'm really happy with it all the car feel and sounds totally different and now that the rear is fixed i just don't want to take any chances
so i still wont be driving her much until i get a tranny

So i've called around and everyone's asking around 2000 for a new tranny installed

No Glen no engine work yet i'm going to take my time with this all this and to be honest i'm still not 100% sure on keeping the six so for now i just wanted to take car or the rust issues and make the car drivable
plus i lost storage for all the parts i've collected over the years so i have no choice but to have everything put on the car asap

so with all that said I can't wait for my wife to go back to work..................... (shes been home now for 3 almost 4 years)

Doesn't your engine choice decide how you should rebuild the tranny.

:iagree: That's why i'm not really in any real rush.....

I love the idea of building and boosting the 3.1 simply because next to no one has really done it................

and yes i know for around the same $$$ i could build one monster of a V8

so while saving :Big BUX: i'll be thinking thinking thinking b/c either way i'll need a new trans

she sat parked on a friends lawn for 2 years........

i did have some of that rubber undercoating spray on but
the shop that did it never cleaned or treated the area b/4 hand
so i had no idea it was that bad hell neither did perry till he pulled the carpet and started tapping around and shit just started falling apart...........

After seeing everything he did to the outside i went for overkill and had him coat the inside of the floor as well we held off on the engine bay until i'm ready for the rebuild so that it can all be cleaned and sprayed correctly

Turbo that 6, Chris! Different, equal power to an 8 with more mpg, and will be the ultimate sleeper!
That was a big job! Well at least now you won't be worrying about the car falling apart! Perry also fixed a big rust spot on my front subframe....Feels like it was new....although I would never know how these car felt when new! You know, because these cars are so low to begin with, they will always have rust! That's why I try to avoid driving in the rain ( one of the many reasons! ) Any splashing, condensation, evaporation will give you more rust! ugh!
